This game is good if you love the hitting and pitching aspect of the game. The fielding part I say is tough to master but you can let the AI do it. My favorite part is the close plays which graphics are awsome.

A GREAT BASEBALL GAME FOR THE DS !
VideoGameJunkie

Major League Baseball 2K10 is a GREAT baseball game for the Nintendo DS, considering that there's no other quality baseball titles for the DS to compare it to. First off, let me start by saying, if you have any hesitations about buying this game, DON'T HESITATE.......GO TO GAMESTOP AND BUY IT ! You'll be glad you did. Now, about the game. Major League Baseball 2K10 is as real as it gets for a baseball game on the Nintendo DS. The batting interface is smooth and it doesn't lag. The pitching interface is "RIGHT ON THE MONEY" where you can aim your pitch and then set the power and accuracy to get that much needed strikeout in the bottom of the ninth to break a 1-1 tie. The player animations in the game are very smooth and fluid as well. As far as the sound goes, the game sounds as real as your going to get and the announcer is right on when calling player names, home runs, etc. The only bad thing about the announcer is it gets repetitive after a while, but that not such a bad thing when you consider the quality of this game. In the end, 2K Sports did a great job on this version of the game. If you're looking for a quality baseball title for your Nintendo DS, DON'T HESITATE............BUY THIS GAME !

I love sports games! for a ds game this does the job. not sure if i would love it on a ps3 though. for its catagory it is good and i love the sound.the stats seem a little in-acurate though. on teams that get the job done it says that the teams stink. i like the game but the player and team ratings surprised me. i am not a huge fan on the fielding . itt is a little bit wierd. but for a ds game i give them props for trying. if they are going to go 4 an mlb 11 on the ds i would probly get it. i would hope 2k experiments and tries nhl and nba. those would be better for the ds because there is more you can do with it. great game regardless i would wanna see a little more fielding . I like the game :^ ) :^ )

Home Run for the DS

For years I've been waiting for a realistic baseball game for the Nintendo DS. Major League Baseball 2K10 is as real as it can get for the DS and it's a Home Run! Gameplay is amazing, I like the D-Pad aiming system for both pitching and batting. Pushing a button to swing the bat is also great. The entire control system in the game is easy to remember, which is always a plus. Graphics are decent, considering that this is a DS game. A sports game doesn't have to have excellent graphics to be amazing. This game has great commentary, cool features like a season mode, and also a post-season mode!!!! I couldn't be happier over a baseball videogame. The one thing that is missing from the game is a Home Run Derby. That really is the one feature this game lacks. Overall, Major League Baseball 2K10 for the DS is a must have!!!!!! 2K Sports finally hit a Home Run on the DS!!!

Really Suprised! (In a good way)

I have been waiting for a while now on a baseball game for the DS that didn't feel like it was created for the original Nintendo and thankfully 2K10 delivers. Now the game DOES NOT look as good as it does on other systems but what it lacks in graphics it makes up for with pick up and play ability. The format is straightforward with pitching using a power bar (or circle in this game) and hitting being timing based as well. Fielding is accomplished on the DS using an overhead view of position dots. Be ready though, during close plays you will switch to a button prompt mini game where you must follow the instructions or drop the ball. The only detractor is that even with great graphics, every player looks largely the same. I don't think that Skip Schumaker should look like exactly like Albert Pujols... All in all a great game though and I would recommend it to anyone especially at this price!
