Product Description

Lost in Blue 3 marks the return of the original "survival adventure" game for the Nintendo DSTM. Guide one of four playable characters, each with their own hidden past and unique strengths, through exotic locales on a mysterious island while surviving the elements to stay alive. Work alone or cooperatively with other characters to gather food, explore the island, and hunt dangerous wildlife. Use a character's abilities to dictate which path you'll take to uncover the mysteries of the island and ultimately engineer your escape!

  • Guide one of four playable characters, each with their own unique strengths and talents that will impact how you explore the island.
  • Each character's past gradually unfolds throughout the adventure in several “flashback” episodes; revealed lost memories may provide clues to help them escape the island.
  • Adjusted game balance lets players spend an equal amount of time between surviving the elements and having fun exploring the island.
  • Take a departure from the harshness of island living and enjoy over 20 mini-games such as river rafting, engineering, and communicating with dolphins!

this game is fun. so far I've got to the end where you have a portable radio and have to find the frequency for it. I might have to start over though because I saved my game and now there's a wind storm that keeps me from going out and getting water and my characters wont sleep and let the storm pass because they are too thirsty, but that was my fault for liking to save a lot. I also wish this game was a little longer but not bad for only $4.99. (bought it used) lol

Would be a great game if it wasn't sexist

As far as the storyline and challenge of this game goes I do not have a problem. It has been very enjoyable in that respect. What I have a problem with is that if you choose to play the female character she can't use or create half the stuff available in the game. Claire can create a number of items she can't use, like the fishing pole or bow and arrow. Since when are females incapable of using a fishing pole? She can't even go diving...she has to bring a male along to do it for her. I don't even know why she is able to make half the stuff available if she can't use it and none of her group will either. She can't make rope, rafts, or furniture without a guys help. The only thing the males can't do is basket weaving...and that is left to the only female character in your group that you don't find till much later in the game. Also, the males are able to attack animals whereas my female characters only option is to put up her fists and run away. It is unrealistic to think a female stuck on a deserted island wouldn't/couldn't do these things herself. I didn't find this out until I was more than halfway through the game and did not feel like starting over, but I am disappointed that I am missing out on these other features just because my character is a girl. I can only give this game 2 stars as a recommendation for the reasons stated above.

Lost in Blue 3: No reason to get bored
Lost in Blue Three is a video game that has a different experience from many other games. I was always happy to find good spices, logs, and even the occasional coconut was fun to cook with. The game had very many features, and even if the story line was the same as the previous two in this franchise, it felt better, thanks to the graphical improvements. Fans of this franchise might have been disappointed from the last installment in this series, but worry not, Lost in Blue Three fixed many of the errors from the previous two games, while still keeping all the fun game play features. I went fishing very often, and I always cooked the food with different varieties of spices to see how good each one was for hunger. Lost in Blue 3 made the story good for previous fans, but easy to pick up for newcomers. The only minor problem with this game was that the cooking didn't have enough difference with the spices that you used (although there were some minor differences in hunger, nothing major).
