Right off the bat many will dismiss this game as a Trauma Center rip-off, and the truth is, is that yes while the theme and premise of LifeSigns are primarily the same (you're a new intern doctor at a hospital), LifeSigns is WAY MORE of a texted based adventure than an actual "operation driven based" game, which is what Trauma Center is. LifeSigns is one huge soap opera. You play as Dr. Tendo and you get swept up in his life both personal and professional. As you progress through the game you'll see all the many (and pretty hilarious) problems Dr. Tendo has with women, his insecurities with himself, his relationships, thoughts, and opinions of the hospital staff and patients, his struggles and understandings of his job, etc. It's easily the biggest charm to this game. You do get to operate in the game (I mean it is a hospital based game after all), but ONLY when its mandatory to progress the story. The operations are very different from Trauma Center and are pretty interesting and fun to get through. Graphics are nice, the music and sound effects are decent, and the controls are very simple and easy to get use to. So as I stated before, if your into HEAVY texted based games like Phoenix Wright, Hotel Dusk, or Trace Memory then you really should give LifeSigns a try. I believe it had a very low print run being that I have BARELY seen this game in stores, so if your even remotely interested in the slightest possible way, then you should definitely pick it up.
