Pretty Good for a DS version
Pookie Rocks!

I was really excited to see a GH game for the DS because I LOVE all the GH games! I travel to my moms a lot who doesn't have a wii so i thought this would be a good sub. I bought it today and I already flipped it! I play on medium on the one at home and that's what I played on this one. It took me two hours to play all 25 songs. A little disappointing there are so little songs, however the songs they do have are good ones. I would suggest getting earphones since its not really that loud. I really didn't care for the pick situation it was very touchy and was weird to play. My arm is totally cramping from holding the DS and playing the keys. The keys are good for me but I'm a girl so I think a guy would have some problems with it because they are close together and small. My boyfriend couldn't do it he has large hands. I like that you can have GH on the go but I'm still not sure if I'm sold on it. I think if it was ** ***** I would be more apt to recommend it. Anyways over all I think its good just know you will flip it fast, get ear phones and I suggest growing out some nails and using that instead of the pick.

Guitar Hero On Tour
Proffessor Game

In this review I will discuss every part of the rating above. Challenge: Not really hard, but it does depend on what level of difficulty your on. Graphics and Animation: Just perfect Responsiveness: This was the only disappointment I had in this game. Sometimes when you know you push the right button, but it doesn't work you will get annoyed. Sound: Great. It better be for a music game, Thats what I think. Controls: Awesome seeing that there has never been a control system like this; whats not to like. Interface: Perfect. Everything is right where it should be. Song Variety:Very wide variety that anyone will like. Special Additions: None really. Just rock out loud. Ten out of ten on this one. Great addition to the series. Party on my friends!

Finally "Rocking Out" Portably!

To star off, I picked up this game to actually make fun of it but to be hones, it is actually a very good Ds music/rhythm game. The game's music blew me away. I was honestly expecting techno ringtone-sounding songs, but they sound like everything on their studio recording. The graphics are really good. If you look really close, the strumming and lip syncing don't follow the song, but hey, it's a ds game. It cartridges aren't capable of holding enough memory to do that. The music selection is really good, and the "Guitar Duels" mode is really fun. The only con about this game is when you get hand cramps from playing for awhile. So I recommend taking frequent breaks. Over all, it's a great addition to both your ds game and guitar game collection! I am looking forward to buying "Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits"!

Good...for starters

I purchased this game because I was a fan of Guitar Hero. This game is pretty good once you get used to it, But I think there should be more frets on the grip. The good part about this game is that it has Guitar Duels..which are funny, and fun at the same time. The expert mode is way to easy compared to the actual Guitar Hero. The easy mode is TOO easy, so I don't know what to stick to, The song variety is pretty good and I like most of the songs that it has. But this game isn't very challenging. I don't like this game, I don't hate it. The Multiplayer is very cool too. Guitar duels are awesome, and the best feature in this game. But yes I do recommend this game to anyone who likes Guitar Hero and/or Rock Band, Go ahead and try it out for yourself, you may like it!

Guitar Hero: On Tour
Proffessor Game

I thought to myself: I have always loved GH games and now I take it on the road?!!!! I could not wait to get and I was not disipoited. The songs are great and the controls could not be cooler. I was thinking about something that would be crazy cool (I know this has nothing to do with this game but oh well). The next thing that needs to be made is a drum connector. If GH could make that work it would be amazing. Think about it we now have the guitar and singing could be done(with the mic) now we need a drum. If that did happen it would be crazy. OKAY back to the game. The graphic are OK and the sound is so cool. This game is perfect for parties and would be loved by all ages. Definitly buy this game no matter what!

Good Guitar Hero Game :-)

This was my first guitar hero game and I have to say I have enjoyed this game A LOT. I play this game every single day. I just can't quit playing it! My dad gripes at me for playing it so much. This game's guitar grip can cramp your wrist your first few times playing it, but after a while it doesn't cramp your wrist (at least for me). If you've heard people say "This game is like medium on the console version of guitar hero" Then they more then likely have never played it before. This game is challenging, even with only 4 colors, I Don't Wanna Stop, Knock Me Down, and I Know A Little are the hardest songs on the game. It took me MONTHS to beat I Don't Wanna Stop's Guitar solo. This game does have some flaws though, like being able to see your score while playing can be complicated, and how small the buttons are. Other than that this is a very enjoyable game 9/10.

Good for a hand held
Kon

This guitar hero game is probably the worst when you compare it to the other guitar hero games. But since its a hand held it is actually pretty good. The main bad thing is when you strum a note you have to touch the guitar hero pick on the screen which can sometimes make you miss a note. Even though the music on the game is good I wish the volume on the DS could go louder like the psp. The game is also to easy. Since guitar hero 3 was the hardest guitar hero game they have made, they accidentally made the next guitar hero game to easy(the next guitar hero game is guitar hero on tour). The rest is pretty good except for the graphics which they could have made a little better. Well here is my review so if you liked it go buy or rent this game. Now, I mean it. Unless you are a hobo.

Poor Song Choices
Holi

Don't get me wrong, I love Guitar Hero. And the game is very well thought out. The controls and everything are wonderful, but what's with all the "Line 6" songs? I want to play the Santana version of Black Magic woman, and the ZZ Top version of La Grange, not some other band that tries to imitate their style. And since when did Maroon 5 get added to the 'Guitar Hero' list? A lot of the songs are also repeats from Guitar Hero 3. I was looking forward to a new game with all new songs, and Guitar Hero did not come through. What I do like is the new Guitar Duels. I love battling against the system. I also like the new characters, Pandora happens to be my favorite. I'm hoping these will be added to the Wii version also. I'm hoping a new game for DS will be released soon, with newer and better songs.

good but not great

Ok, I bought this game yesterday and I am already halfway through the Hard difficulty. I've finished Easy and Medium. It's not as challenging as I had hoped. And it only has 25 songs versus the console versions have like 70+ songs. On the plus side, the new guitar duels are fun and challenging. The graphics are great and I like the new modern twist on the song selection like Daughtry and Maroon 5. So, it's not the greatest Guitar Hero title but it is awesome that you can play it anywhere. I hope that they make more Guitar Heroes for the DS. The character selection has gone down also. You only have six to choose from and most of them are recycled from Guitar Hero 3. Also, at least five of the songs are from Guitar Hero 3. And the worst part is that if you play it for more than fifteen minutes, your hand will start to hurt and cramp even if you hold it the right way. I don't highly recommend buying it but I do somewhat. I give it a 7 out of 10.
