If you have played the original Diddy Kong Racing on the N64, then you're definitely gonna like this. You probably notice many things that significantly changed, like different voices (it's been like almost 10 years between the original and the remake), some of the Kong family members replacing Banjo and Conker, the tracks get a slight makeover, and some hidden challenges. On the downside, the voices for the racers can be a bit off, the juggling the use of button to touch screen can be annoying at times, the music rearrangement can catch anybody off guard for veteran gamers, the current lack of Nintendo Wi-fi for the older DS games can make things difficult, the versus tracks have been removed in place of the custom tracks, and the balloon challenge can be frustrating at times for beginners. The good thing about the game is that it has a good amount of content, like upgradable vehicles to improve speed and control, more original tracks to give gamers a good exploring, and customizations to make the vehicles and portraits to your own imagination. All in all, it's too bad of a game. It definitely can give the Mario Kart games (Mario Kart 64, then; and Mario Kart DS, later) a run for the money. Good for adventure racers.
