If you're wondering if this game is worth the money, believe that it truly is. The multiple activities you have to do to fully solve a crime keeps any player hooked into the story line.

As a true crime buff, I LOVED the challenges of this game as an adult, not a child, because of the entire package of the game. The fact that the game doesn't end after a mere 5 chapters, but 15, is the added plus for me. It is like CSI and I-SPY all wrapped up into one game. Each chapter has five separate functions to complete. Like I-SPY, you have to find items it chooses for you. But in the end, you also have to determine, with the clues, who the guilty suspect is to gain more points. And, after you play it story mode, you can try to play the each aspect separately to raise your scores, and in essence, practice finding items it may ask you to find later. I can play every time, and continue to raise my score even higher than the last, and the only constant is the suspect would remain the same. I have referred my friends, who also liked I-SPY for WII and DS, to this game and they also LOVE this game.

I thought the game was very fun. It kept my interest with the in-depth length of each chapter. While the graphics were hard to see at times, it just added to the challenge. I found the other search and find games much easier to complete, therefore finishing MillionHeir in one day, while this game took me about a week, doing a full chapter a day. I am happy with my purchase and wish that they would make more search and find games for the DS. The option to skip the dialogue was a nice added touch, especially if one wanted to play the game more than once. At times the dialogue was drawn out, and skipping it did not make the game harder to play. The main thing I did not like about the sl was the fact that it took so long for the dialogue to show up on screen, other then that I would say get this game if you like hidden picture games.

I bought Cate West the Vanishing Files, and realized it was a poor copy cat version of the DS game Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir. Cate West has such poor graphics, you can barley find the objects in this search and find game. When you do find the object that is on the list of objects to find, they don't resemble what the object is. With that said, it makes game play very difficult. Unlike Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir, this game has a count down clock counting down the time to find objects, and a random tap penalty of 30 seconds off the clock. The game penalizes you if you think you found the object and tap the screen, and it was not the correct object. The graphics are so bad, it is hard to see anything in detail. Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir is a MUCH better game with very detailed and vivid graphics. If you like search and find games I suggest MillionHeir and not Cate West. I wish I would not have bought this game.
