I had to use a few online guides just to figure out where to buy seeds and do other stuff. It takes a bit of exploring. It's an okay harvest moon, but far from the best

Boring. Game plot is irritating.

I tried so hard but could NOT get into this game. It’s my least favorite of the 5 Harvest Moon games I’ve played. As usual it has a slow start but it’s just so darn boring. The map isn’t huge and the characters aren’t interesting since the two towns hate each other so much. All they want to talk about it how much they hate each other. I recommend A New Beginning. It’s vastly better in every way.

I've been playing the Harvest Moon games for a few years now. So far I've played A Magical Melody, A New Beginning, Island of Happiness, and now Tale of Two Towns. I love all of them, but I've really enjoyed this one. I love the fact that the characters walk places instead of just teleporting, the horse and cart feature, and practically everything else. Probably my only complaints are the fact that: 1) You can only save when you go to bed. (I really dislike this since I'm the type who likes to save a lot) 2) Instead of multiple seeds only one crop grows from each seed-pack 3) The store inventories are random. It was annoying when I was looking for Chili Peppers in Raul/Diego's stores and couldn't find any for about two weeks. That's about it; all together I strongly recommend this game. I love being able to travel between two towns and also there are panda's! Plus the characters are all really nice and interesting.

Big fan of harvest moon but not this one

I've been playing harvest moon since I was a little kid. I've played almost all of them but I have to say I'm disappointed in this one. SHOPS are closed on rainy days. My animals are going to get sick and the next day is another rainy day. That means I can't get them cured at all.. I already reset the game a bunch of times and the weather still wont change. Also, you have to travel all the way from Konohana/Bluebell for each little thing you need. It's very time consuming compare to other harvest moon. I hope the upcoming harvest moon is way better than this.

I got the 3DS for Christmas and I got Skylanders. I Eventually wanted a new game (like two days later lol) So I looked online and saw Harvest Moon (Never Heard Of It) , I couldn't find anything else so I wanted it. To be honest I didn't know if I even would like it. But after I played it it was a pretty good game. But you have to be extremely rich just to get a wife and expand things. I'm still in progress on getting a wife. I took a long break from this game about two months ago but I started playing it again. And now I love it even more. This game isn't good for EVERYONE. You have to be a certain type of person to enjoy this game. I really like this game, even though i only have two games I can enjoy my 3DS.

Warning: Get the DS version!

First of all, if this is all you read, then good: GET THE DS VERSION!!! The 3DS version contains a MAJOR glitch that some copies have where the game will freeze every time you pass certain points. Plus the 3D effect isn't very good on it either. So save your money and time by getting the DS version. Okay so now onto the actual game. The game starts off by making you choose between the towns Bluebell and Konohana. Bluebell focuses more on animal tending, and Konohana focuses on farming crops. The game gives you a nice variety of crops and fruit trees, but I felt the animals could have had a better variety. One huge problem with the game is that you can only expand your farm or work on the tunnel once a month. This leads to the game being too lengthy because all you want is the in game time to pass more quickly. Another problem is they make it too difficult to do anything, like befriend animals, make certain recipes, or expand your farm. One nice feature Natsume added was being able to go foraging in the mountain deeply. The game gives you plenty of activities to do while you are not farming. And I wish they gave the characters, well a little more character. My wife in the game literally just sits in my house all day doing nothing. Literally! Come on Natsume, at least have her go out and take walks or something. That's just lazy of you Natsume... Oh and the festivals start to become very boring and repetitive after a while. The game is very addicting though as you want to expand your farm as fast as possible. The music has some pretty nice tunes to it though, and the graphics are simple, yet charming. Overall the game is fun but it has lots of room for improvement.
