Product Description
In The Game of Life: Super Mario Edition board game, players choose to play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Yoshi, journeying through the Mushroom Kingdom, and finally spinning to win in a battle against Bowser! As they approach Bowser's Castle, players will also buy stars to boost their battle-spin; each star collected adds 1 point to their spin total, and players will need to spin higher than a 12 to defeat Bowser and win the game. Definitely not the original game of Life, but the adaptation is clean and the kids appreciate it much more than learning about salaries and careers!
Yay! We love that your kids are finding this version of Life to be a lot more super! :D
This is not at all like the original game of Life, but a perfect depiction of the game of Life if you were a character from Super Mario Bros. Requires strategy and it's loaded with tons of side game action. My 7 year old LOVES it and so do I.
This is for a Christmas present. I have heard nothing but good things from people that have the Super Mario version of Life. Great price and fast shipping.
Game was similar to the traditional Game of Life, however this version has a few twists. You collect stars and battle Bowser. The first person to defeat Bowser wins. You play mini games to win things useful to collecting stars and you also get partners at certain points on the board which can be very helpful. Be careful when deciding to battle Bowser that you have enough stars in order to win. You spin a wheel and add the number of stars you have to determine your total, too few stars and you most likely will lose. If you lose, you go back to the beginning and lose all your coins. I thought the mini games were the weakest point of the game. Instead of a thumb war battle, I would do some sort of trivia battle - name Mario characters - good guys or bad guys, etc. My kids and I enjoyed the game and look forward to playing it on family game night.
Great game to play with the family. Might as well just call it Mario Party.
