Dungeons and Dragons Dice and Tray
These are heavy metal dice. They just released this week and mine were delivered this morning. FreeRange's earlier answer was unfounded speculation based on sparse pre-release information, and is incorrect.
Not exactly. The picture shows a pre-release product mock-up but the actual dice I received this morning are much nicer than those in the photograph. These are very heavy metal dice with an "antiqued-bronze" finish, more burnished and slightly darker than the photographed material. The numerals on all dice feature the trademarked fifth-edition typeface painted bright red, and the d20s feature the D&D dragon-ampersand in place of the 20. Don't plan on storing them with your plastic dice because they're beat up any soft-plastic material over time. These dice are bruisers indeed!
My set was delivered this morning, and that is indeed correct! Included dice are 1d4, 4d6, 1d8, 2d10 (percentile), 2d12, and 2d20; twelve dice total. I'm not sure why they included two d12s...all the other recent official fifth-edition sets include only one d12. Oh well, time to dual-wield a pair of great axes, I guess!
See my review posted below for a detailed description of what I received this morning. Included dice are 1d4, 4d6, 1d8, 2d10 (percentile), 2d12, and 2d20; twelve dice total.
