This game isn't nearly as bad as many have made it out to be, but its not what I'd call a great game either. I like the fact that you can play a wide variety of games since the beginning of The Price Is Right. The games are fairly simple to play also. This game has interesting facts on the loading screen too. However, it's still missing something to make it better than just "not bad". First off, you only can play as your avatar, which is okay. I would have given the players an option to either use their avatar or allow them to create their own character for use. When you are playing the game by yourself, it feels kind of hollow. because you are bidding on items in hopes of getting on stage to play a pricing game, you play one game, then win or lose you play the showcase showdown, then advance to the showcase if you win. When you make bids on items or see what prizes you are playing for, it appears on a monitor, rather than being behind a door like in the actual game show. One thing they did get right is show items, that carry a dated look from a particular era such as a two door Chrysler LeBarron. Another improvement I would have made to the showcase showdown would be to allow a single player, see the CPU controlled characters spin the wheel. Maybe even have a determined order in which characters have to spin rather than having you always be the last one spinning the wheel. Secondly, while the controls are simple, the controls for this game is way too simple. You just use the left analog stick to spin the wheel. There's no way to do a hard spin or a lighter spin. If you're a fan of the show, this game is for you. It does have a nostalgic factor to it, but it's probably not enough to spend a lot of money on.
this is great for parties if you are looking for more party games you should try: wheel of fourtune or family feud or jepordy or guitar hero
The only reason I gave this game a 2 is because i slightly enjoyed it one time when I had family friends over. The rules of the game are NOTHING like the show. Save yourself some cash and do not pick this one up unless you are some sort of of crazed Price is Right fan. Thanks.
Now The Price is Right is my favorite game show, but this is nothing like TPIR. This game is boring. When you spin the wheel they should be three contestants spinning. But you have to spin and try to beat the one contestant ahead of you. And 90% of the time you have to beat 75. And if it's a tie on the wheel, you have to spin again. They don't have spinoffs. When you're playing Multi Players everybody spin at the same time.
Not even close to what I thought. It is a waste of money. Do not buy it or rent it. I can't sell this on any other site for $10. It has been for sale for two weeks.
