A bit overwhelming at first, but you eventually find yourself loving the intricate systems of this game. Your basically a recruiter hiring various character classes to serve as your personal army in a world at war. As the units tactician your control your troops through a basic turned-based system with a much higher degree of interaction than you would think. The placement of your units is important to how you win your battles. If someone's in the wrong place at the wrong time, they may not may face a terrible fate. Other than that various attacks are dependent on your input thus adding the need for you to pay attention to combat more than any other classic turn-based games. Additionally you can join various alliances and take personal quests to increase your gold and position in the overall world. I've only been playing it for a little while and have been completely immersed in the side tasks I've yet to really get involved in the main story, not to mention the online options.
Very boring, combat system doesn't make sense, too difficult to get into. Visuals are beautiful.
