Cute game! Controls take some getting used to, but gameplay is fun and interesting, great teaching tool to show how evolution works.
Birthdays the Beginning attracted my child because of the building aspect but it's how you can control the environment that is the most interesting... you can speed up / slow down time, adjust the temperatures to create ecosystems, and see how climate change can affect animals... I thought it was an excellent balance between being fun and being educational.
Bought this for the heck of it and I'm glad I went preowned. Tried it for about an hour and took it back to the store. Boring
I bought this game for my son. The concepts of creating a environment that will allow new creatures to grow and evolve is very complex. This is certainly not a game for young children.
