Product Description

One of the most acclaimed titles in the Tales of series, Tales of the Abyss® stands apart from other RPGs with its depth of story and magnificent world. Now it makes its debut on the Nintendo 3DS™ with full 3D support and the use of dual screens to bring players even closer to the action. Tales of the Abyss centers around Luke fon Fabre, sole heir to an aristocratic family, as he is suddenly thrust into the outside world on an epic adventure. Naïve and spoiled by years of isolation, Luke struggles to learn about friendship, sacrifice, duty, and choice. In the end, Luke's actions may ultimately save the world or bring about its very destruction.

I brought the game because I heard it was a fun game but what I don't like about the game is when you travel to the next part of the game on the map it is hard to make out where you are going to the next direction

It has been a long time since I played a Tales game, and I feel this was well worth the purchase.

Tales of the Abyss has been out for a few years when I made the purchase. Faithful to the JRPG style of gaming. Was surprised it was overlooked rather easily when it first came out,

This game is far from perfect. A lot of the dialogues are overkill, it's definitely cliche, some of the characters are annoying, there are repetitive parts, the battle system is nothing special (though FoF's are fun), and compared to the graphical capabilities of today... well, it looks pretty bad. However this game has been one of my running favorites for over seven or so years. The good FAR outshines the bad. Though cliche in parts, the plot offers something I've never seen before. This game takes you through an unforgettable journey that leaves you breathless. The characters are probably one of the best groups I've ever seen in a JRPG. They're all important, they all have a purpose, and they all feel like they've gained something substantial by the end of it. Their reactions feel real, raw and relateable. Conversations are hilarious and well-scripted. The villains aren't cookie-cutter cartoons who wish to take over the world. The world is in crisis and you see the effect it has on everyday people. There are a bunch of secrets to explore, and the creators cared enough to connect their plot to the environment (down to the economy). Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this game. If you want something with meaning, believe me this game is fulfilling.

Q:
Just wondering when you are in an open field and it says to go east, it seems like going east is really going west. In a town, going east is really going east. Should i move in the opposite direction over land. Also wondering which map is better to use

A:
The best map to utilize is subject to the opinion of each individual gamer! Be sure to follow the in-game directions!
