Imagine going backwards 15 years in hand feel for controllers. The giant original Xbox controller was more comfortable to hold. The XYBA buttons are further away from the right joystick than other controllers making it uncomfortable reaching from aim, to button press. You may say "that's what the paddles are for" but I'll get to that. The triggers are super tall while the bumpers are extremely flat and do not naturally flow moving from one to the other. I have pretty large hands and my fingers still weren't long enough to reach the paddle buttons on the back comfortably. The 2 lowest buttons on the back/bottom of the controller are perfectly in line with where your natural grip lands... So pressing those involuntarily when you grip the controller in tense situations will cause you to pull out items or something instead of shooting and will get you killed every single time. Then you also have to go to a tiny link that's on some card inside the box (only instructions) and download the controllers software which they dont even give you the name of (did some quick googling and figured out) With all that being said, the buttons have a nice click to them, lol. Also once the software was installed, setup wasn't difficult, but STILL instead of plugging in and it working, I had to work for 15-20 mins to even be able to assign crouch to a paddle. Only giving it 2 stars for the container of attachments, concave thumbsticks, and different size weights that you can put in. Although, I don't see the point in having anything other than the heaviest ones.
We're sorry to hear that this controller was uncomfortable to use. We will reach out through email to help.
The controller is decent overall. The sticks feel accurate, and I like the controller bumpers. The face buttons are bigger than other controllers and feel more raised. My biggest issue is that the controller gives me so much wrist and hand pain that I can't use it. The ergonomics overall seem to be the worst out of any Xbox controller I have used.
Oh no! We're emailing you now with suggestions. Thank you for taking the time to let us know!
This controller is very nice, but takes some time to get used to. The buttons are bigger and more flat than the standard Xbox controller, which is really nice for fighting games. The D-pad feels very smooth, unlike the "rocking" feeling when shifting directions with the standard controller. The sticks are also very smooth and snappy. The software is really easy to use, and the amount of customization is pretty cool. You can change vibration settings, stick sensitivity, trigger sensitivity and a few other things that really allow you to make the controller function your way.
Glad to hear it's working out for you! Best of luck on the ranked ladder, and thanks for your review!
Horrible controller. Removable thumbsticks kept popping off.
We're so sorry to hear that. We're sending an email your way to help out!
