A fun time

I got this for my son's Switch Lite. Its in the movie universe but is a separate story. Very Zelda like, with the dragon's acting as "Link's" weapons. E.g., Ice dragon can make paths on water. Really nice looking, uses license well.

Dragon's Awakening

I wasn't quite sure what to expect going in, but as a die hard "Dragons" fan and a switch owner who was in the mood for something new I decided to get it. I was actually quite pleased to find something that was, in essence 2D Zelda game with the How to Train Your Dragon franchize charm thrown in. Definatly a must have for any "Dragons" fan, and I would strongly recomend it to any Zelda fans as well.

Gameplay

The best

I played this on PS4 when it first came out but never bought the dlc. Figured this would be worth a shot on Switch just to try out the dlc and play it portable. It runs pretty well, which was a surprise to me. I expected REALLY low fps but it mostly sticks to 30. It's Switch, you're gonna see dips for sure, but it still caught me off guard how completely playable this game is - given the parkour centric gameplay. The game is just a lot of fun in general but it's really cool to play it on the go. 

On a side note, the mClassic really shines with this game when playing docked on a 4k tv.

Sakura Wars - PlayStation 4

Recommended for fans of action games and visual novels who like or don't mind a heavy Japanese/anime focus. Visuals are good and the character development is well done. Anime scenes are great. The story is all right but falls a bit into harem territory. Sounds and music are okay but there is no English voice acting, it is all in Japanese and even then much of the dialogue is not voiced at all. The battles are fun but the different mechs/robots feel a bit similar. The change from tactics to straight action battles is a bit of a letdown. Most of the combat feels like it does not really matter that you are in a mech, you just dash and swing a sword most of the time, so there is not as much as there could be to set it apart. Despite all that, the game elements come together well enough and building connections is fun as well as seeing the pilots in their theater troupe when not in battles.

Sakura Wars - a good action/VN/anime combo

Its a harem anime that you pick the dialogue for.  Combat is kinda repetitive but still solid.  Not for everyone, but I really enjoyed the characters, music, and animation.

Waifu Wars

In short, your relationships with different characters impacts how the story develops, which urges the player to consider their decisions. How your character is portrayed dictates much of how the ending turns out. The game isn't so much as romantic interludes so much as it is developing respect among your teammates as your team copes with rival teams as well as planetary threats. The 'morale' factor comes into play during the battles against demons that are disguised as robots. 

The more faith and comradery you have amongst your team the  more trust you build, hence more 'spirit power' you garner for your mech. All of it is hand in hand throughout the story. If you find yourself making ill-advised decisions when prompted you can just load the last save and start anew before that engagement. One doesn't have to be absolutely flawless and make all the 'right' decisions, but you'll be able to tell when you're in a predicament where making the 'right' choice is key. 

The characters themselves all have very different personalities and appearances, making for very unique dynamics. You can choose to play down some 'relationships' while opting to be borderline flirty with others, making for very funny moments at times. 

The graphics are top notch, may they be in gameplay or in cutscenes where you're essentially in an anime. The entire game is an anime of sorts, but I really enjoyed how it was part fan service and part story-driven. 

All in all, games are supposed to be fun and not everyone will like everything but this hits the mark on so many levels. If you want a game that has humor, is very 'chill', and is still entertaining with rpg elements then I highly recommend this. Especially for the anime crowd.

Breath of fresh air

I glad it was imported in English. It’s basically a fun romance story with lots of extra bonus like a Mecha beat them up, some Asian card game and lots of fun charm and story events which is just great.

This game was super fun as well as visually stunning. It ran smoothly and the maps were not too difficult to run through. If I had to say one complaint it would be the timed choices, I am the type of person who likes to take a few moments when making a choice that could change the story. But that is honestly a nitpick from me.

Tight fighting game ever on Xbox 360!

Despite what some would say, I thought that def jam icon was a pretty good game. Most people would say that this game sucked because it wasn't as good as ny or you can't use weapons anymore and stuff like that, but I thought that the game was well made and delivered. It certainly met my expectations I mean what more could you ask in a game that lets you fight other rappers with your favorite rappers. Not to mention the graphics are fantastic, or was for its time but overall it's still a beautiful looking game, and has a good soundtrack. All in all I would recommend this game to anyone who likes rap and fighting games, I mean if you like hip hop and fighting games then this game should be right up your alley, like you should definitely pick up this game when you get the chance to. So yeah people I liked def jam icon, sure it wasn't as good as ny but it still delivered and I'm still waiting on that sequel which we will hopefully be getting in the new systems.

I just got this in 2013( even though its from 07) because honestly I forgot def jam fighting games although I remember how I loved fighting artist to their songs or other songs back in the day so this is nothing like Vendetta or FFNY( i.e. Blazing taunts or Special moves) but it makes up for what its missing with environment control which is interesting I mean swinging your arms like a DJ and making the whole club bounce that is freaking sweet!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition - Xbox One

Does the preowned still contain the dlcs?

I was told by a friend that this was a game I had to try.  I am not sure why I was hesitant, it had everything in a game that I look for.  A great storyline, action, decisions that change the outcome... It is much like Skyrim, without the Magic & Monsters.  Based on real life history and set in the very early 15th century (Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia) this game takes you in early and does not let go.  The first hour or so is like watching a movie... there are a few quests and tasks that get you used to controlling your character, but you are really there for the ride.  You get to learn how being a blacksmith's son was not a bed of roses in the later part of the Middle (Dark) Ages.  You start off weak, and strategy is a huge part of the early part of the game.   Saves do not come easy (which make them that more important) and that makes every action you do that much more critical.  My advice is to get the Royal edition and finish the main quest before you get into the meat of the DLC stuff.  I love that the archery is tough and that just owning a bow does not make you Robin Hood. (or it could be the satisfaction of watching a bandit go down in a heap when you stick an arrow in his head while he is running at you with his sword raised..)  Released in 2018 it is an older game, and just a month or so ago I heard that there might be a sequel.  If there is I will be first in line to get it.

Great game!!

Only a few hours in, but the overall system of "use it to level it up" is great. Combat mechanic is AWFUL even after the "tutorial". I have no idea if what I'm hitting is doing the right thing and so far I pretty much have to hope that I don't get ambushed because anyone with a weapon kills me. Cannot really do side missions at first...not strong enough. Lockpicking and pickpocketing mechanics are also just a little too complex for casual play. THAT SAID, the time period and location is unique for a game and the historical aspects are really great. Like the variety of skills, items, outfits, weapons so far. Mad that I have to save a bunch of hard-to-get coin to learn how to read before I can read books for more skills...but I guess that's historically accurate.
