Bugs Aside The Game Is Excellent
rated 5.0 out of 5

This game is excellent. If you excuse the bugs, which were due to Ubisoft rushing the game, the game itself is excellent. The story is interesting and engaging. The characters are full of character and charisma, the dialogue isn't too forced and feels natural. The voice actors performances are really good (despite the whole English accent in France thing). Gameplay is a change-up from the last games, with the new parkour up and down system. The swordplay feels great and satisfying. The city is sprawling with things to do and various side missions. The graphics are beautiful even three years later. Despite the bugs and glitches, which some of them have been fixed and some of them still exist, this game is fantastic. If Ubisoft had not rushed the game and had postponed it for a month or two, we could have had something truly amazing.

Still broken, 1 year later

I bought this game Dec 2015, in spite of the poor reviews. I thought it would have been fixed by now. Turns out, that's not the case. Even if you exceed the minimum requirements, you are likely to encounter serious problems which make the game unplayable. The frame rate, which for me was always in the 60s for AC: Rogue, struggles to hit double digits. It's impossible to even play, much less enjoy. Until/if Ubisoft releases something for this game which fixes this problem, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Does it get better?

On launch, it would be accurate to say the game was not finished with poorly optimized graphics and glitchy gameplay, especially for PC. Ubisoft has promised to fix these problems and there have already been a multiitude of patches to fix various problems, but overall the game still lacks the solid feel of a well-developed game.

i was more than happy when i saw i could buy this game as a physical disc for the PC since I have had issues in the past with downloading PC games from gamestop and I also can't afford a PS4. My computer meets all the requirements and should have absolutely no problems running this game smoothly but apparently I was wrong. I ordered the game yesterday and paid extra to have it mailed here within 24 hours since I couldn't wait to play it. I got it just a few hours ago and installed everything and once I was finally able to play the game it was so insanely slow that I had a ton of trouble navigating my character around and then not once but TWICE in all of 5 minutes of gameplay I got stuck and couldn't move at all. I am very disappointed that I spent so much dang money on this game expecting it to be as amazing as I've seen in the videos the company has posted on its facebook page and its nothing but trash due to the fact that its so dang slow I can't even play it and enjoy it. Now since I still have hope for this game I am going to be saving up money to but the PS4 and the PS4 version of this game. Hopefully my money wont go to waste again. I do NOT recommend that anyone buy the PC version of this game :/
