I was so excited to finally get the monitor setup. After working on it for about 20 minutes and found out after turning it on that the screen had a crack. I had to undo everything and return the unit. Still waiting for the replacement unit to come.

Gaming monitor that NEED gaming rig specs to meet posted features of this gaming monitor! Do not expect to get the full posted features of the Odyssey G9 if you're using this for console gaming or an under power laptop or desktop. If you're using those (I'm not 100% sure about newer consoles), you'll be getting the default 60hz and less features. This is a 5120 x 1440 gaming monitor after all so it makes sense it'll require a beefed up rig to fully utilized its features. That said, when specs are met, it's a GREAT gaming monitor, especially for games that supports ultra wide gaming. Long story short, replace my 2 27" monitor set up for this single G9. I had to use this monitor with a 980ti for the longest time (due to GPU shortages and prices) and I was only able to do 60hz and minimal posted features. When I was finally able to get a hold of a 3070ti, BAM!!!!, this gaming monitor became a beast! I was able to set the refresh rate to 240hz and have much crispier visuals. Understandably, newer games will never meet the refresh rate unless the settings are tone down like crazy and even then, it might not even be possible due to current tech.

Wonderful display. 4k UHD? No problem. Double, unseamed 2560×1440 from 2 different sources? No problem. Ultimate setup for gaming and watching GME go brrrrrt on your broker app.
A wonderful experience if you are looking for a super ultra wide monitor for gaming. I don’t play FPS so very high refresh rate is not that important for me, but I can see the monitor is well equipped to handle high rates. Virtually no ghosting. Size is big but you get used to it in no time. It makes it difficult to play on other monitors when you get used to the form factor of this one. I previously bought the same monitor from another online vendor. It had a couple of dead pixels that really were standing out. Ended up returning the first one and buying one from my new favorite gaming store here. The one I received from GameStop is flawless. No dead pixels and no more of what I call dynamic contrast issues I was experiencing on the previous one. If you have the budget, you will enjoy this monitor immensely. It is a relatively unique experience that you simply cannot get with other less expensive gaming monitors. As for using it for work, I personally was not any more productive on it comparing to a normal ultra wide flat monitor. If you are used to a 3-monitor set up, it’s a perfect replacement for it.
