That’s easy! To check the balance on a gift card or trade credit card, you will need the card number as well as the PIN. Both numbers are located on the back of your gift card or PowerUp Rewards™ Card. Enter your card number and PIN on the Balance Inquiry page to check your available balance.
There are a ton of things to use them for! Gift cards, digital gift certificates, trade credit and PowerUp Rewards™ cards containing store credit can be used to purchase all sorts of products at US GameStop stores and on GameStop.com.
We all lose things now and then – our keys, rugby matches, bets with our in-laws…
A gift card is like cash. If lost or stolen, it cannot be replaced without the original sales receipt or a receipt from a transaction the card was used on. These receipts will have the card’s account number and the amount on the card.
For online transactions you can use a printout of the order confirmation that the card was used on.
In either case, a store associate will contact our Document Control Department with that information so the amount can be transferred to a new card.
Nope. There is no expiration date for our gift cards. They will be valid until the end of time or until money becomes obsolete - whichever happens first.
Remember how we said they were “like” cash? Well, unfortunately, GameStop gift cards, trade cards and PowerUp Rewards™ cards cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash (as stated on the back of the card) except where required by law.
The best way is to ask Santa. He loves to give GameStop gift cards! But you can also get them from US GameStop stores and GameStop.com.
Physical gift cards are sold on GameStop.com, and in US GameStop stores. If ordered from GameStop.com, physical gift cards are delivered via First Class U.S. Mail within one to two weeks and can include an optional gift message.
Digital gift certificates are sold on GameStop.com and can be redeemed online at GameStop.com or redeemed in US GameStop stores. Digital gift certificates are delivered via email within 48 hours of processing (excluding major holidays), and can also include a gift message.
That’s easy, too! Just enter the card or account number and PIN on the payment page during the checkout process. To use your gift card, trade credit, or PowerUp Rewards™ card online, it must have a scratch-off PIN. This PIN is located on the back of eligible gift cards. If your gift card does not have a four-digit PIN along with the 19-digit Gift Card number, you can only use the gift card at a GameStop store. The digital gift certificate number and PIN can be found in the email sent to the recipient.
