WHY GAMESTOP IS EXCITED FOR RESIDENT EVIL 2
The year is 1998. A horrible outbreak has spread through Raccoon City and many of the citizens of this quaint mountain town are now roaming the streets - as zombies. Few games have had a more loyal following than Resident Evil 2. And now this gripping tale of horror and survival has been re-mastered from the ground up. Step once again into the stories of Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield as they search for survivors, the truth, and a way out of this now-infested town. Just make sure you don't get bit.
Updated camera angles: The biggest change from the previous version of the game will be the improved gameplay and camera angles. Playing feels more intuitive due to the adoption of the much-loved over-the-shoulder camera popularized by Resident Evil 4. These new controls enable veteran Resident Evil players to experience a fresh take on the world they love.
Redesigned world: Not only does the game feel and play better, it also looks leaps and bound better as the graphics also received a major upgrade. While Resident Evil 2 had ground-breaking graphics when it first appeared on the original PlayStation, the re-mastered version pushes graphics to a whole new level with the power of modern consoles. These newly designed visuals, along with improved camera and controls, grant the ability to learn more than every before about the darkly irresistible world of Resident Evil.
Resident Evil 2 takes one of the most iconic, influential games from the survival horror genre and modernizes the classic. Hi-resolution graphics, updated movement and more detailed environments make Resident Evil 2 an exciting way to replay the original narrative in a completely new - and terrifying - way. Resident Evil 2 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on January 25, 2019.

The Deluxe Edition features the full game, special deluxe packaging and an extra DLC pack that offers additional costumes for Leon and Claire.
