Mortal Kombat 11 is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. MK 11 will also have two additional versions: the Premium Edition and Kollector's Edition. Premium Edition offers buyers six new DLC playable characters, early access to those characters and seven exclusive skins and gear sets. Mortal Kombat 11 Kollector's Edition comes with everything mentioned above for the Premium Edition, but also a Steelcase, a Dragon Logo magnet and a 1:1 scale Scorpion Mask.

The Mortal Kombat franchise has maintained a surprisingly consistent level of quality since the original game debuted in 1992. Nearly 30 years after that first game's release, Mortal Kombat's eleventh numbered entry is looking toward the past to deliver a nostalgic fighting experience that also fully embraces all of its modern innovations.

Unsurprisingly, Mortal Kombat 11 is a direct sequel to Mortal Kombat X, picking up the story and adding a new twist – time travel. With the ability to travel through time, Mortal Kombat 11 is able to pull from the series' deep history of characters and even pit different versions of the same combatants against one another. The classic Scorpion from early Mortal Kombat, for example, can fight the modern, grislier version of Scorpion of recent years.

Along with the time-jumping story, the latest entry also continues NetherRealms' efforts to mix-up the combat mechanics and offer players tons of customization options. Along with plenty of opportunities to change how your fighter looks, you will also be able to change your combat abilities to craft your perfect version of Sub-Zero. Mortal Kombat 11 arrives on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in the end of April.
