Star Wars Battlefront II
Great Star Wars Game!
This game is very fun. Star Wars Battlefront II has taken everything from the Original Battlefront and made it better! A Couple of new features have been added like: SPACE COMBAT - Awesome. The only think I thought was missing from the Original. You can choose your side and get in a ship, and dogfight or take an army with you into the heart of the enemy capital ship, and destroy it from within. MEDALS AND AWARDS: Makes the game so much better. If you do amazing feats the game awards you with upgraded gear like 6 sniper headshots awards you with a Partical Beam Rifle that can decemate an opponent. Once you reach Ledgendary you can permanently keep the bonuses! Its Awesome! PLAY AS HEROES - Remember in the Original Battlefront when you saw a hero/villian ripping someone apart with a lightsaber, and wanted to be them? Well now you can! You can unlock them by getting a certain amount of Hero Points to unlock them to play as them if you want. Or you can play Assault on the Mos Eisley map to have a Heroes Vs. Villians matchup. Overall, this game is amazing, if you still have an Original Xbox or play old Xbox games on your 360, this game is a must buy!
Easily the best game I have ever played!
Battlefront 2 was an instant classic and remains one today. It may not have the graphics of today's 360 and PS3 games, but even so the gameplay is terrific. You can play as all of your favourite races on all of your favourite Star Wars Worlds! Anyone and everyone who plays this game will love it. It is, in a word, Amazing. I have spent (not wasted, like is true for so many games) numerous hours sitting in front my T.V. playing this alone and with friends. If you are reading this review and you haven't already done so, purchase this game immediately! You will not regret it.
the game is awesome and the levels are so intense.the jedi temple is one cool place to go to,this game has awesome graphics and sweet levels and the cool character's too.the jedi's you can be are sweet and you will love it.i recommend that you get this awesome game.
Star Wars Battlefront II is a spectacular game. It is a very fun and addicting game that relates very well too the movies. You have a wide variety of units to choose from including new soldiers not in the first Star Wars Battlefront. Another great thing is it works on the XBox 360. The challenge is pretty easy if you have it on normal, but if you put it on hard it is a great challenge and very fun to play. The graphics are pretty great for an XBox game. I haven't played the storyline that much but it is from the movies. The controls are easy to figure out and are like most shooting games. The sound is pretty good. You can hear people when the are dying, like yells. The new features they have added are spectacular. Now you can have space battles (which are awesome) and you can play as Jedi's and the Sith. They have also added a bunch of new maps, such as Mustafar and Utapau. Overall, I think this is at least a must rent game. It is great for Star Wars fans and people who are not that into Star Wars.
The sequel to one of my favorite Xbox games.
The original Star Wars Battlefront was definitely one of my Top 25 Shooters, and Star Wars Battlefront II actually managed to become better than the original. Probably the only sequel that has managed that.
The gameplay was, in my opinion, even better than the first Battlefront. Unlike before, there are multiple game-modes, such as Conquest, Capture The Flag, Hunt, and Assault. People in game communities such as Halo attempt to do the impossible by remaking the huge maps that this game brought to us. I'm not sure there's anything better than playing CTF on Polis Massa or playing on the always fast-paced Tantive IV.
The graphics are still decent today, but you shouldn't look at this game by graphics alone. It has much more to offer than that. Still, it's not hard to look at.
Do I even have to mention the sound? This is a Star Wars game, after all.
This game, as many other Xbox originals do for me, lasted a very long time. Five years and still I continue to want more. You know you've created a masterpiece when you've done a game that lasts every single day for that long. Pandemic, you've got yourselves a game.
I was always hoping for that sequel, but I gave up on it eventually. Star Wars Battlefront III won't release. It was cancelled back around 2007-2009.
This is one of the greatest games of all time! There is no match to it in class based shooters! Still a great game to play with friends offline.
My favorite game- ever
Oh, where do I start... Let's just say that playing Star Wars Battlefront II made up a large portion of my childhood. This game was the BEST. No doubt about that. My brother and I would spend forever playing on the large variety of maps, making up scenarios. The gameplay and ideas were phenomenal at that time; the different game modes and classes and maps definitely gives this a 10/10 lasting appeal rate. The open battlefield maps let you choose whatever strategy to attack with. The campaign (rise of the empire) was well-narrated and focused but still gave you the freedom of options when it come so attacking. Also, and I'm not lying, EVERY single person who I've asked what they thought about SWBII has said it was the best game they've ever played. Whenever I mention this game, it sparks so many great and endless memories. If you had not had the chance to get this game, GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND BUY IT RIGHT NOW. The reason it's still like $20 is because even Gamestop knows the value of this incredible game. That is all.
Better than the First!!
This game is an absolute great of all time. They added more maps, people, and downright absolute fun for everyone. This game is better than the first one because you can be the hero! That is why I bought it when it came out! I play this game everyday so I can destroy the Republic, Empire, Rebels, and CIS. Star Wars fans, this is a must buy. You can get medals, unlock people each battle, and even fight in massive SPACE BATTLES!!! The sapce battles are fun because you can destroy the enemy's shields, engins, communications array, Life support systems, and censor relay. The campaign, Rise of the Empire, is very challenging. This game is a definate 10 for me, and I will always remember Star Wars Battlefront II. It is a very fun game. GO Buy it right now. stop reading go buy. go on. You can do it. COME ON ALREADY GO!!!!
ORIGINS: Now today, in the 21st Century, Star Wars isn't as hailed as it was when it was released in theatres in 1976. But however, George Lucas made the video games. Star Wars Battlefront was the top selling Star Wars video game. As predicted, there was a sequal. GAME: Now you may not have like Battlefront (I did) but Battlefront 2, isn't nessesarly a game for Star Wars obsesives. It is like a T-rated Halo. But Star Wars. You fight on everyside of the wars. CIS (robots in Episodes 1,2,3) Stormtroopers, Republic, Rebels, Jedi, and as Creature from diffrent planets in some levels. You can play instant action, with lik 20 maps; Jedi on Jedi in one map! You can play on Xbox Live, and a Galactic conquest, where you fight the opponent army and try to take over the galaxy planet by planet. Also, a regular Story based campaign, which is fun. It's a game you will forget about then go back to with obsession. It's a classic, like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, the original. Like 007 Goldeneye, or Area 51, or Mortal Kombat. THE GAME: Buy this, then if you like it, buy the first. It's fun!
The Force is strong with this one.
The original Star Wars Battlefront was a revolutionary game, finally allowing you to have massive battles in iconic locations like Hoth and Endor, and control both sides of the Galactic Civil War. Then Battlefront II came along. If you're a Star Wars geek like me who can't get enough of shooting Stormtroopers in the face (or shooting rebels in the face), then BFII is the game you've always dreamed of.
How does the second improve over it's predecessor? It adds even more maps, the Republic and CIS factions, space battles, Jedi and Sith, improved Galactic Conquest and updated HUD. Even the campaign is great, fusing it with movie and movie style cutscenes to bridge many of the gaps between Episodes II and V (yeah, it ends at V! ;_;). Add the always-fantastic Star Wars sound FX and music and pretty good graphics for a 2005 game and you have the ultimate Star Wars game. The multiplayer is also a great addition (though now without Xbox LIVE you'll have to settle for splitscreen), and so I would recommend this game to anyone who likes Star Wars, shooters, or just wants to have a great time.
