Mortal Kombat: Deception
One of the best Mk's
First of all this game has a great amount of challenge and new modes never discovered in mortal combat. The last challenger in arcade is the most challenging, you have to collect energy to do more damage. (I forgot to say spoiler...). Another one of my favorites is puzzle combat, with the game play of puzzle fighter turbo! Konquest is the other mode, quite boring. All you do is train and think but its what makes all of the great unlockables come to the game. There are some changes of characters kung lao and sonya (or sanya or something...) left and Shujinko, Ermac, and............... ZOMBIE LU KANG! Lu kang died in this game so you later play as zombie lu kang. So more modes and characters and even unlockables (there are about 500 of those by the way) So whats not to like in mortal kombat deception, well for fighting fans...
Best One Yet!
Mortal Kombat: Deception is definitely my favorite Mortal Kombat game! It fixes all the problems from its predecessor, and then adds more. That it what a good sequel should do. Anyway, the game has a huge mix of characters, from new (Hotaru, Ashrah, Dairou, Havik), nostalgic (Noob-Smoke, Sindel, Nightwolf, Tanya) to the characters you see in almost every game (Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, Liu Kang). This is a good variety. The game also includes MK’s regular modes (Arcade, Versus and Practice) and it adds two new games: Chess Kombat and Puzzle Kombat. Chess Kombat is the strategic game of chess, with a MK twist. In normal chess, once your player moves over another, you win. Not here. In Chess Kombat you have to fight the opponent in Mortal Kombat, like you would if you were playing Arcade. Chess Kombat is a great diversion if you’re tired of Arcade. Puzzle Kombat is different you play a Tetris-like game to see who can stay below the top before the other with one of twelve bobble-headed fighters (Scorpion, Baraka, Nightwolf, Ermac, Sindel, Sub-Zero, Bo’Rai Cho, Kenshi, Mileena, Jade, Kabal or Raiden). This is fun in the beginning, but each round can take forever! But you are rewarded with the more rare type of Kurrency, Platinum and Onyx Koins. These Koins are earned and can be spent in The Krypt. The Krypt (If you don’t already know) is a cemetery full of koffins that cost Koins to open. Inside are characters, costumes, koncept art, arenas, and more! They clearly lessened the number of koffins. In Deadly Alliance here were like 600, here there are like 400. Also missing is the funny videos and pictures. But one point up from Deadly Alliance is the Konquest Mode. If you played Deadly Alliance you know that Konquest is a training mode where you learn all the characters moves. The problem was it was repetitive, long and boring. But now you play in an RPG-like game where you explore the realms, learning from the fighters, doing quests and earning money. It’s a blast to play and explore. You can walk around Earthrealm, a place like Earth, the Netherrealm, which is a demon world, Outworld, a war-ravaged realm, and Edenia, the peaceful world that is constantly under attack by Outworld. Deception adds two new realms to the existing four. Orderrealm, and Chaosrealm. There’re pretty much like they sound. The controls in Deadly Alliance were a little unresponsive, as I stated. Midway fixed this so that you can perform combos, special moves and branch combos much better. Midway has also added Xbox Live to Mortal Kombat, and it’s a blast! The graphics have improved, but I think the music in Deadly Alliance was better. Mortal Kombat: Deception is an awesome game that fixes most of the problems from the previous game. This is a must have for MK fans and fighting fans.
