Arcades Rule!
(Note: I reviewed this game on PS2 a while ago as 'Motnick') I never knew that Arcade games could be so fun! Almost all of these games are fun; here’s a list and a short summery about them: 1. MK2: One of the best MK games (And Fighting games) of all time! Featuring everyone’s favorite characters, great music, arenas and fatalities. The only problem is that the arcade mode is impossible to get through! So I play with my friend in two players versus mode. This was one of the main reasons I bought this game. 2. MK3: No Scorpion, (Sigh) but has the return of Kano and Sonya! This game doesn’t live up to the standards of MK2, but I’m glad you can pick your difficulty level, also useful is the ‘Run’ button, which makes your attacks lightning fast. This game is still very fun, especially with a friend in the two-player mode. 3. Gauntlet 2: A little boring after a while, you will really have fun with it in the beginning. But you should really have 2-4 players coming with you through the 100 levels in the game. 4. Spy Hunter 2: You race through roads, shooting at bad guys as you go along. The graphics are good, the two-player function is nice, but the game is a little repetitive. 5. Xybots: You shoot robots through an endless maze. It’s fun at first, but you’ll want to quit after awhile. This game supports two-player co-op. 6. NARC: You are a NARC! Go through a side scrolling game, shooting junkies, murderers and psychos. This game is best played two-player co-op and is a little long and repetitive, but it’s still great. 7. APB: You play as a cop, chasing down bad guys. There’s no multi-player, and the game is very hard because you guide your car with a cursor, so you’re constantly running into things and blowing up. 8. Cyberball 2072: I’m not a fan of football games, but this game includes plays like in Madden, so I guess it’s okay to a football fan. 9. Timber: You cut down trees, it’s boring and unexciting. The two players versus add some excitement to it, but all in all, Timber isn’t very good. 10. Total Carnage: You play as two big, beefy guys with machine guns and save the world. It’s very fun to play alone or with a buddy, and there are tons of secrets to find, although, I’m not sure I like the controls. 11. Pit Fighter: Pit Fighter is okay for a little while but it gets repetitive. When you play with three people it’s slightly more fun. I would play the three other fighters in this game (MK2, Primal Rage and MK3) then this. 12. Wizard of Wor: Pretty good for a shooter that came out in 1981. The game seems endless, it controls fine through the dungeon, and the two-player function is great. 13. Xenophobe: You remember Aliens the movie? This is an Aliens game. You play as one of three people to clear out a spaceship full of aliens in a limited amount of time. The graphics are very 2-D, controls are good, and you can play three-payer co-op. 14. Primal Rage: Another fighting game, but this time you get to play as dinosaurs. The game controls well and is fun to play. The dinosaurs themselves look like play-dough though. 15. Arch Rivals: A two-player basketball game where there are no penalties. Pretty Good, great music, good selection of teams and players, and doesn’t it get boring. 16. Rampage World Tour: Play as three huge lumbering monsters attacking every city from Peoria to Cairo. The game means destroying the city before time runs out. It’s really fun and can be played with three players. 17. Kozmik Krooz’r: You play a space shooter that looks a little like Galaga. The graphics are slightly better, but the game is repetitive. 18. Championship Sprint: Impossible to control! It’s so hard to drive. Once you get past this, the birds-eye-view racer is okay. It features two players versus. 19. Hard Drivin’: You play a first person racing game in a car that handles terribly and the graphics are blocky. Otherwise this is a pretty good game. You can even turn the keys and listen to your car rev up and see you.
