ESPN NBA 2K5
Still one of the best games ever! 10 years later!
It may sound obsolete but if I could briefly sum it up it would probably be... pure balling. For one, its ill deep underground tracks makes it have, without a doubt, the greatest soundtrack on the face of the planet. Second, the cornerstone was the game mode 24/7. It puts the pure balling in pure balling. I still love playing it all the time to this day. 2k5 had a lot streetball influence in it and that just seals the deal. It makes me mad when I play newer games with the new game mode My Player which is definitely not as good. I try hitting it up and can't even get past 5 minutes because of the monotony of it. They really should bring back 24/7 to replace MP. In 2k5 street mode you could ball on famous courts all around the world but in 2k11 you only have one court, what is up with that?! When I hook up the good 'ol Xbox to play 2k5, mass nostalgia just floods the mind.
Lack... of... effort
SEGA could've put a lot more effort into this game, without question. I understand that technology has improved in the last decade, and this game is way outdated with the graphics and the overall feel of the game. It's not too realistic. It's not horrible, though. The sound is okay. Your first and foremost priority with a game is its quality. This game has very little of that. I don't like to criticize, but sometimes, you just need to make your voice heard. Some games must be shot down for their lack of quality. 5/10 Average game.
GOES WAY BACK
