The cinematic action-adventure that forced Lara Croft to grow from an inexperienced young woman into a hardened survivor has been re-built for Xbox One and PS4, featuring an obsessively detailed Lara and a stunning lifelike world. To survive her first adventure and uncover the island's deadly secret, Lara must endure high-octane combat, customize her weapons and gear, and overcome grueling environments.

A Survivor is Born

When the first ever Tomb Raider game launched in 1996, it was a revolution. With ground-breaking graphics, gameplay, and story, it changed the way that video games were played and developed forever. Fronting the cultural assault on the world was the central character, Lara Croft. She quickly became the most recognized and celebrated female action heroine in the world and an icon for the video game industry

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Single Player, Bad Multiplayer The single player campaign is downright awesome, the story line is great, and getting all of the collectibles aren't all that difficult. The tombs are challenging enough to figure out the first time through, but not to the point of breaking your controller in a fit of rage. The downside to this game is the multiplayer. I have a feeling that the developer put all of their time into making the campaign amazing that the multiplayer aspect of the game got a brief overview. The slightest bit of lag in your game destroys the entire multiplayer experience. At longer distances, characters glitch and jump as they move, making the bow nearly impossibly to use effectively.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great adventure game. Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is an amazing experience for anybody who loved the other games, or excellent action-adventure games, like myself. originally this game came out on the Xbox 360 and ps3 in 2013, it was a big hit and it still is, just with better graphics and gameplay. this game is full of surprises on every corner with danger, like human enemies, and wild animals trying to kill you. overall great reboot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tomb Raider (A first for me!) Tomb Raider (as I have heard) has always been a popular series. One for it's unique play-style and awesome areas to explore. Unforgettably, it was one of the most best game platforms to play. I, unfourtantely, was not able to experience the old classics as anyone that could. I missed out on some great titles from that. When this game came out, I was always hearing good comments and reviews on it. So when it came out for Xbox Live for free. I decided to go ahead and grab it. Of course, I was skeptical since Square Enix helped work on this project (as most of their games don't really sell too well) so I took a stab at it to try it. Knowing that Tomb Raider was a story-driven action game, I knew I'd be seeing a lot of cliche story and fighting moments; but boy, I was wrong. Tomb Raider starts off with a great bang into the series introduction, giving you a climatic moment and tons of brutality to Laura Croft. The game deserves the M+ rating. Unlike games like Uncharted and Batman. This game isn't afraid to explore the true colors of accidents and terror. For me, it was mind blowing to see how crazy the game started off and it still continues to go on and on without letting up. The graphics are visually stunning and appealing to the eyes. Of course, since this is on the next-generation of gaming, the graphics are significantly improved slightly. When I played this I originally thought it was a movie! In all honesty, it's a great game to start with. The sounds are a little chippy and off, but the graphics and game-play make up for it all. I tend to think that this game was worked on for a long time and was actually produced to stand out. Because it did! Other than that, I still have tons of playtime left on that game though, but I will have to catch up with you guys later! Totally get this while it is still out gents and ladies!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Graphics are horrible, Game is stale This game is really not that fun. The worst part about it is that it looks no better than the xbox 360 version. The graphics are terrible in this game.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a joke This game is so boring. It is yet another recreation of Laura's origin story only you don't feel like the tomb raider from the previous games. it feels much more like an assassin creeds ripoff with cheap weapons. the multiplayer is a joke. don't buy

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Repetitive and boring Graphics look fine but that''s the only thing I liked. This game feels like a rip off of assassins creed with it's parkour mechanics. Very linear despite being on an island. Exceedingly repetitive and the story is just boring and uninteresting. There is almost nothing reminiscing of the old Tomb Raider games other than the girl being named Lara Croft. I get it's her origin story (again) but still this game is so weak in every aspect of gameplay. The multiplayer is just pure garbage and should have never been created. Definitely a buy and return.
