The Elder Scrolls Online
In regards to the monthly fee
Basically any quality MMO is going to have a monthly fee. I assume it will follow the model of every other subscription game where the more you pay for in advance, the cheaper it gets or similar to the season pass idea would work. Anyone complaining about a monthly fee is being ridiculous as there are no micro transactions (yet) for the company to make money off of to continue to offer quality content and updates to the game. This game gets full marks in my opinion and you get what you pay for. If you want a free to play game look elsewhere.
Ive played all the elder scrolls game always been amazing but this sub monthly cost will destroy the game hands down I will refused to buy just because of the monthly cost. Because we all know every game these days has micro buys in game and the cost of xbox live on top of 60 for the game that's just stupid. DO US A FAVOR AND DROP THE SUB CHARGES!!!!! Do like everyone else put up a season pass.
Thanks but No Thanks
Would love to get this game, but will not pay a $15 monthly subscription service. Sorry, but no game is worth that amount of money.
$60 cost for the game
$180 annual fee to play
on top of
Xbox Live fee and Internet costs
Best of luck to the developers on this one.
$240 a year
$15 dollars a month is complete garbage and with the game costing 60 bucks, xbox charging you for their live service plus time warner, electric bills simply to power the system this game will cost players hundreds and hundreds of dollars to play a video game.
save your money and either keep playing skyrim on the 360 or if you spent the 500+ dollars on a new system get The Witcher 3 or another RPG that will come out Q4 2014. the last thing we need is another World of Warcraft taking over and charging whatever they want simply because they have a monopoly gamers will blindly follow.
Fresh off playing the PC beta and I just can't wait for the console beta/release. If you're worried about the $15 bucks a month, don't be. That's like not going out to eat once a month! I did it for 6 years with world of warcraft. It's an MMO people its either a Sub fee or free to play which you don't want. At least not for this game. Going to be lots of fun if you love Elder Scrolls/ MMO's. Try it out when and if you get the chance then judge it. It may not be for everyone but its the first True MMO for console!
A monthly fee?
I LOVE The Elder Scrolls games and I've been really looking forward to The Elder Scrolls Online until I heard about the $15 monthly fee to play. I was under the impression that was why I pay Microsoft every month for Xbox Live.
OH NO THEY DIDN'T!...actually, they died...I meant
This is one of my favorite games of all time. I love the Elder Scrolls series, but I also like the liberty of playing at my own pace and passing out with the controller in my hand and a bag of chips in the other hand and waking up to a game that I ALREADY PAID FOR!
This is going to go down as the WOMP WOMP WOMP...of the CENTURY!
But you don't have to take my word for it...
Looks good, but...
Everything I read shows this to be a good game. Except I'm not going to pay a $15 a month fee to keep playing it.
Extra Monthly subscription fee for Elder Online ??
First off I loved the previous Elder Scrolls installments, they were awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed them. I see that the new installment will be charging a monthly fee on the console versions???? If I purchase this game for $60 will I be able to play the actual game quests without having to pay this subscription fee, I really don’t have any want/need to interact with other players online I only care about the actual game itself and in-game content… If I am required to pay an extra monthly fee just to play the in-game content that will keep me from buying the game altogether, which would be unfortunate because it has been a great franchise so far. Any help you could offer in answering these questions will be appreciated.
Was a day one buy, but not anymore.
I was planning on getting this the day it came out, and I was extremely excited for it. But after finding out that there will be a $15/month fee just to play, I decided I'm not gonna buy it anymore. If I pay $60 for a game, I don't want to have to pay more money just to use it.
