The Elder Scrolls Online
Burying a elite RPG...
Well like everyone else I am tremendously disappointed that you will have to pay 15 dollars a month to play this game. This was the main title I was waiting for on Xbox one,a blockbuster series.I'm sad to say it is no longer a title I am willing to support.I will not be supporting a game that you have to pay 60 dollars for plus Xbox subscription, and a 15 dollar a month charge. On top of what ever future dlc or special offers they want to charge you for.I would never have said this 1 year ago but I hope it bombs and they lose a ton.Can you say fantasy star online??
First Elder Scrolls game I won't be buying
I've preordered every Elder Scrolls game since Morrowind. Elder Scrolls are my favorite RPG games. That being said, I will not spend $240 just to play for one year. That's ridiculous. Way to let the fans down and have a subscription on top of the xbox live subscription we are already paying. I would love to buy this game and recommend it to others, should Bethesda revisit this issue and waive the $15/month fee.
Issues with ESO (Console)
The issues with ESO are simple, monthly payment. Yes this may be a common MMO theme... when on the computer. When it's on the computer it makes sense. Many people have a computer in the first place and only those dedicated will go out and buy a computer specific for a game such as World of Warcraft, however those who wish to play on a console, such as Xbox One or PS4 must obviously buy the console. So this is a payment of $400-500 depending on your preference, then there is the price of online capability, another $50-60, and of course the price of your desired game, in this case ESO, $60. So just for any game start up you're going to need to invest $510-620. But wait there's more! You have to pay $15 a month! Totaling to $180 a year... But I suppose that if you're willing to spend $690-$800 for only one year of playing the Elder Scrolls Online, it's a pretty cool game. The beta was fun and nothing short of what you would expect from an Elder Scrolls game. TONS of quests, good fighting mechanics, fun game overall.
Wait it Out
What I'm doing with this game is that I will wait. I agree with all the others in the sense that not many people are willing to pay 180$ a year for one game. Yes, it is supposed to be "Content Packed" but I could by 3 games for the price of one ideally. I think that once it releases and their sales figures are low, they will take away or reduce the fee. At that point I would buy the game. It was a big mistake on Bethesda's part, they lost most of their fan base by doing this and now only hardcore/pro gamers are going to buy ESO. Not buying this game unless the fee is dropped or reduced. Just buy Destiny, Watchdogs, or The Division instead.
First real MMO for console
I played beta, and its was pretty awesome via the computer. But I thought something was lacking. A controller. You ask why? Because most of the times I've played any elder scrolls was on console. From xbox all the way up to now the Xbox One. Also of the review on here are rather negative. I think this once giant step for consoles, and its gonna be the first MMO that will succeeded on console. Besides Final Fantasy 14. One thing I've always wanted in a elder scrolls game, to play with my friends. Yes you got to pay for Xbox Live and pay for a subscription. But what MMO now a days isn't a pay and play. Or I should say what game do you not spend any type of money for DLC or in game items. Instead of making expansions and adding more content. MMO offer subscriptions. You pay for good content. Hints why you pay for xbox live. because its a more enjoyable service. But overall this game is gonna rock. Its elder scrolls on steroids. And who doesn't like playing with there friends. So pick up the game play it. Its gonna be great. And its fun for the whole family. Who doesn't like elder scrolls.
Never Going to Happen
Seems like another great Elder Scrolls game and I hate to miss it. But, I'm going to have to because of the subscription fee.
So very upset.
I have bought and played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Loved them all. Greatest games available on console with the most replay value I have ever seen in a game. That said. I will not be buying this one. I pay $10 a month already for Xbox Live. I don't want an MMO Elder Scrolls. Play with a friend online? Yeah. But I have no desire to play an MMO with 100 other people that I don't know. This is so very sad. I have 2 other friends who are in the same boat as me.
People over reacting over fee.
All good MMO games have sub fees to help maintain everything and put out new content. If you are going to commit to ESO then do the bigger cheaper payments per month.they have the 30 days and I think 90 days and then 180, Which each will be cheaper for you higher you go.It's gonna be fun don't miss out on a good game cause a little sub fee.
I have always loved the Elder Scrolls games. This one looks really great and I can't wait to test my skills against other players because I have always really wanted to do that in Elder Scrolls games. The only thing that I am not looking forward to is the $15.00 monthly fee to continue to play the game. Other than that, it looks amazing can't wait!
IM NOT GOING TO PAY FOR THIS 15 BUCKS A MOUTH OUTRAGE.I LOVE THE ELDER SCROLLS BUT I ALREADY HAVE TO PAY A XBOX SUPSCRIPTION.WHY CANT IT BE THE SEQUEL TO SKYRIM ECO IS 1000 YEARS BEFORE SKYRIM IN THE EC TIMELINE.MAJOR LET DOWN WHY CANT THEY JUST MAKE A SEASON PASS LIKE A LOT OF FAMOUS GAMES:COD BF4 AND MANY OTHER GREAT GAMES.
