Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not gran turismo I've seen a lot of hate for this game and I don't get it. First off it plays well. Next, the sound isn't the same as dirt rally because this game is going for more realistic compared to being the driver. Watch a rally stage from inside the car and the audio sounds the same as the game. Things are muffled a bit because you're wearing a helmet with a headset inside for the co-driver. This is very close to playing richard burns rally if richard burns rally was made with normal game controllers in mind and not racing wheels. It's not super easy. The rewind feature is in it like most racing games, because there's no point to having racing games with long races. It's a game, not reality. This isn't old gran turismo with races lasting hours. You earn money, and can buy whatever you want. Don't go straight for the lancia delta. That thing is a beast to control and for good reason. It has more horse power than others like it and also lighter than others like it. Obviously it's gonna be crazy to handle. I will say I couldn't get left foot braking to work in this game though. Some drivers use it a lot in real life such as richard burns did, but most go for the traditional right foot for everything driving. The purpose of left foot breaking was to press the brake with the left foot, press the gas pedal with the right foot and then let go of the brake pedal. That causes the car to instantly oversteer which is a good way to start a drift which is used to maintain speed while also turning. I'm assuming most racing games don't have that as possible because it's more work and teenagers are already terrible drivers, they don't want to make things even worse on the roads.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Save your $$$, Wait 2 weeks for Dirt Rally This game has last-gen graphics and the driving mechanics are difficult even with all assists turned on. This may appeal to hardcore racing fans, but if you want to have fun and at least be competitive, stay away from this game. Wait until April 5th and pick up Dirt Rally, which will likely have TRUE assist differential like the previous Dirt games. My disappointment in this game was evident in under 1 hour. Truly a "regret buy".
