The Cars of Forza Motorsport 5

2013 McLaren P1

The goal for the McLaren P1 was clear: to be the best driver's car in the world on road and track. To achieve this, McLaren has called on its 50 years of racing experience and success; the result is a car that is as magical to behold as it is to drive.

2012 Ferrari F12berlinetta

Ferrari's fastest road car ever is also a car that can be your daily driver, provided, of course, that you can afford it. Exquisitely engineered, the F12 berlinetta will handily beat an Enzo or 599 GTO on the track. Yet all that power is refined; the 730 bhp and 509 lb-ft of torque are delivered in a manner that is calculated and smooth to the point of simplicity. That's not to say its 0-60 time of 3.1 seconds or its top speed of 211 mph is any less exciting, it just means that the fun factor translates into a slightly more sophisticated feel than that of a track car. This V-12 sounds superb from idle to redline, and its power delivery is ferocious at any RPM.

2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

Just being in the presence of an Aventador is enough to make one feel regal. Driving this mad bull can be likened to finding Elvis and winning the lottery... on the same day; thrilling, fortuitous, and maybe a bit surreal. The Aventador exudes sensual power, drop dead beauty, and performance numbers that seem derived from NASA blueprints. This is a bareknuckle brawler of a supercar, brandishing 700 bhp and more than 500 foot/lbs. of torque. In short, the Aventador's potential is limited less by its engineering than by the bravery of its driver.

2012 Pagani Huayra

When you think of Pagani cars, it's natural to think of craftsmanship, performance, and a Platonic ideal of automotive beauty. All of those elements come together in the Pagani Huayra, the latest supercar from Horacio Pagani, and perhaps his most compelling automotive vision yet. It's easy to get lost in the visual elements - the gullwing doors or those audacious rear view mirrors. The same goes for the interior - a lush mixture of aluminum, leather, and fine Swiss craftsmanship (for the dashboard instruments). The Huayra has been a long time in the making - Pagani began work on the car in 2003. But, like all works of art - automotive or otherwise - true beauty takes time.

2013 Chevrolet #1 Andretti Autosport Dallara DW12

Currently driven by Ryan Hunter-Reay in the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series, the 2013 Chevrolet #1 Andretti Autosport Dallara weighs roughly 700kgs, and sports twin turbo V6s capable of putting out just under 700hp & 12000rpm. This incredible feat of engineering is capable of reaching 230mph when in its Oval trim, meaning lightning reflexes and reaction times are a must if you hope to have even a chance of taming it out on the track.

Prague

The gorgeous city of Prague is the first announced location in Forza Motorsport 5. The largest city in the Czech Republic, Prague is a capital of history and culture and one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The Vlatva River runs through the heart of Prague, and citizens and visitors alike cross its shores over several bridges, including the famed pedestrian-only Charles Bridge. Prague is home to a number of world-famous landmarks -- many of which you'll see while playing Forza 5 - including the Prague Astronomical Clock, Zizkov Television Tower, Prague Castle, and many more. Home to challenging elevation changes, architectural delights around every corner, and stunning vistas, the city of Prague is an ideal setting for the unmatched visual realism and wide-eyed thrills that abound in Forza Motorsport 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Fantastic Forza This is a great game. It is easy to play and fun, and can even play with a friend!! A great plus. There is an exhaustive list of cars, however, when it comes to tracks, that is a different story. There are only 16 different locations. (I was unimpressed by Forza 4's tracks, and was hoping 5 would add some more, but maybe 6 will :) ) It is even good for beginners. It easy play with assists on making it a game anyone can play. The graphics are great, the sounds are good, unfortunately all races take place in the middle of the day. (Doesn't quite stack up to the detail Project CARS has, but maybe they will also add that in 6). Overall, the price is good for it, and it is a very high quality fun racing game for either hardcore or casual gamers!! So, what are you waiting for, go out and get yourself a copy of Forza Motorsport 5!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could use some work First off, the handling on the cars is very unappealing to me. Secondly, I can barely tell when to shift because I have all of the other cars making noise too. But, the only positive thing that I can say about this game is that it has the best graphics and FPS ever! Concittering I come from Detroit, I play Forza a lot but it has downgraded ever since the 4th game.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't buy it at this point If you're reading this, the game is already well outdated. They've already got another forza out; Forza Horizon. Plus the Crew, which would be a much better investment in my opinion. This game just doesn't feel right. It feels like a "showcase" game. They probably made it for when the xbox one first came out, just so they can show off their fancy graphics and sound on next gen. If that's all you want in a racing game, then go ahead and buy it. But I personally just didn't find it very appealing after the first day of playing it. I hadn't even made a dent in the story races, and it already felt like I was done with the game. Maybe it's just me personally, I'm sure there's a lot of you out there that would enjoy this game much more than I would. The driving mechanics are descent. This game is only fun with friends though, which is fine and all but the dots just don't seem to connect for me with this game. If you got the money, by all means, buy it. But it's not necessary.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Car Racing Game Ever!!! Get this game now!!! This is the best next gen game of the year!! I only played this game for 2 hours at my friend's house. This game has a realistic racing game!! I have a question. Can you free roam or is it just racing? Post your answers in the comments below!!! And hit that thumbs up button if you liked this review!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good game but still not the best forza amazing game good graphics even though I think forza horizon on xbox 360 looks better graphically in my opinion. they changed the car menu for when you buy a car so all of the cars are in one menu which is annoying cause you have to go through all of them to get the car you want. They don't give you a lot of money in races and also it doesn't give you a manufactures discount on parts instead it gives you a little bit more money when you use the car for races so your money is drained into parts and buying cars. the amount of cars is so disappointing again 225 compared to forza 4 which had over 600 and they have the nerve to charge you 49.99 for a car pack. just found this other problem though also they don't show the spoiler in the mirror of your car just found that out. I would rather play Forza 4 or horizon
    Date published: 2014-08-24
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't Buy This! This is game looks and sounds amazing..thats why i bought it...but i regret not reading the Forza forums first...this game has tons of crashing problems. The game will randomly just exit you back to the XB1 homescreen...there is no developer support anymore..just look up Forza 5 crash problems before you buy this game.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst game, disgrace for racing This game is so repeatitive not addictive not fun. If you really want a good game play Need For Speed or Forza Horizon
    Date published: 2014-07-24
Rated 3 out of 5 by from REPETITIVE First off the graphics are awesome being able to see the reflection in the window of the driver. Second the sound of the cars sound realistic but the music isnt bad but its not amazing either. Third and most important gameplay, which is very repetitive racing on the same tracks. Finally, the lasting appeal of this game is useless because the game is repetitive. One more thing the last Forza game I had was Forza 3 which I loved and wish they would do something similar to that again.
