Product Details:

Dying Light is an action survival game presented in first-person perspective. The game is set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, you roam an urban environment devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help you defeat the hordes of mindless, flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, the hunter becomes the prey as the infected grow in strength and aggression - but even more lethal are the nocturnal, inhuman predators that leave their nests to feed. You will need to make use of all your skills and any available means to survive till dawn.

Features:

  • WELCOME TO THE QUARANTINE - Experience an original and intense story set in an infected city cut off from the outside world. Only the fittest have any hope of survival.
  • VAST OPEN WORLD - Dying Light lets you traverse an extensive world plunged into chaos and destruction. In this diverse environment, you fight for survival against many kinds of enemies since the infected are not the only threat: facing down other desperate humans is often the only way to get precious supplies.
  • NIGHT CHANGES THE RULES - In daylight you explore the city searching for supplies and weapons. After nightfall, though, this infected world undergoes a dramatic transformation that gives the gameplay a new dimension. You, a hunter by day, become prey. The infected grow in strength, but something even more sinister looms in the darkness to begin its hunt.
  • PARKOUR-STYLE MOVEMENT - Whether you hunt or escape the hunters, you can move around the city with ease and speed. Jump between rooftops, climb walls, and attack your foes from above. Dying Light gives players a freedom of movement never seen in open world games before.
  • BRUTAL, VISCERAL COMBAT - Fight face to face using a diverse selection of melee weapons: knives, bats, axes, or more unusual tools of destruction. Strike down your enemies, cut off their limbs, save your own life!
  • FIREARMS - Powerful but noisy. Use pistols, shotguns, and rifles to gain an advantage over enemies, but remember that gunfire can and will attract unwanted attention.
  • CRAFT YOUR WEAPONS - Dying Light features RPG elements that let you develop the protagonist and adjust him to your play style. It's a long and difficult journey from rookie to badass.
  • CHOOSE YOUR PLAY STYLE - Make use of weapons, your surroundings, and traps set by other survivors. Provoke groups of enemies to attack each other. Complete objectives by day or at night. Take advantage of darkness, fog, and storm to remain unseen. Turn the odds in your favor with offensive and defensive gadgets. It's always your call!
  • HOURS OF GAMEPLAY - Discover a thrilling story, complete more than a hundred side-quests, and put your skills to the test in special challenges.
  • CO-OP MODE FOR 4 PLAYERS - Cooperate with other players in the extreme conditions of a zombie apocalypse. Show your individuality and customize your character.
  • ASYMMETRIC MULTIPLAYER - Survivors, beware! Every time the night falls on Harran, your game can be invaded by the Night Hunter, a human-controlled, extremely powerful enemy. Join forces with other players to repel the invasion or go one-on-one with the city's worst nightmare.
  • BREATHTAKING VISUALS AND REALISM - Dying Light is the first game based on the Chrome Engine 6 - the latest revolutionary incarnation of Techland's proprietary technology. Built from the ground up with next-generation consoles and advanced DirectX 11 graphics in mind, it delivers a new level of visual quality, special effects, and dynamic weather conditions, maintaining unparalleled efficiency at the same time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WB making great games lately WB has made some great games lately. First mad max and now dying light. I am working on the campaign to start the gameplay is fun and challenging. It dying sucks you lose 600 survivor credit. I have not completed the campaign but it seems once done I will likely not be playing again kinda like mad max once I beat the game there was nothing I looked forward too. Plain and simple for a fun game with many missions it is worth it it's a good one with several hours of gameplay. But again I don't see lasting appeal once campaign is completed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun game but needed more. When i first started playing this game i was not really expecting much. I thought it was just going to be some generic zombie game that i could kill a few hours with. I was kinda wrong . The game is really fun for the first 6 hours, but after that i was getting board of it. The story is nothing special, I can't think of a single piece of music at all, and the graphics are good but all that does not matter to me as much as the controls and the game-play. The controls works but i think the jump button should have been somewhere else besides the right bumper, other than that the controls where fine. The game-play never changed and while it is really fun starts to get really boring after the 6 hour. The one thing that made me angry was the final boss. The other 2 bosses sucked 2 because you are to overpowered so that take all of your weapons away and makes you fight the fist your fist or random weapons that you find on the ground so i was not expecting much, but the last thing i expected was quick time events. Besides mashing a button to open something there was not a single quick time event in the game. All in all though the game was fun and and i recommend for someone looking for something to play.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flawed I play the game expecting it to be hard-core and awesome. It is broken at best. You're start out with five pipes and they are completely useless. I ended up breaking all of them and only killing about two zombies. You get so little money for completing quests. Fighting regular people is even worse. They can block attacks taking no damage and you can't block at all. Med-kits are useless. They take forever to heal you and will stop if you get hurt. The game six seats and doing only one thing and that is teaching you how to run for your life.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good But with Glitches.... I went to get this game thinking Techland would redeem itself. It did in some ways but I've experienced major glitches. Such as textures not loading to parts of the world not even loading. I found no real story and cared for NO characters. I do hope Techland makes another Dying Light but keeps these in mind as it would be able to revive the Zombie genre by standing out from all the others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Game - Great Look I've been playing this game all summer and really enjoying it. I'm playing it on the xbox one and the graphics/visual are just stunning. It's difficult early on but don't get discouraged or quit like I almost did. You need to get far in to the game before you are rewarded with much better weapons. That's where the fun begins: Exploding Stars, Frag Grenades, Molotov Cocktails etc. You'll soon be dispatching enemies that made you run and hide a few days ago. I love that its open-world as I think that is the future of gaming. (ie Far Cry and Crysis 3) What I didn't care for was all the micro-managing of my primary weapons and my throwing weapons. It gets old repairing old weapons, making new weapons and making throwing weapons constantly. Overall its a blast and I would recommend it to all gamers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing all around game Dying light has been one of the most fun games I have played in a long time. If you got a new gen console you should definitely rent this game at least. Pros: Super fun. Easy to get into. Combat isn't overly complicated Leveling isn't over complicated either Gameplay is solid The worst thing you'll encounter in the game is the skill Tic Tac Cons: Way to many buttons do multiple things Parkour can be unreliable at times (Crane tends to not grab onto ledges for some reason but its pretty rare) Some skills are kinda useless Tic Tac. For real this thing is terrible. To put emphasis, this skill is the main reason parkour can be unreliable
