Classes

As part of creating your Inquisitor, you will be able to choose between three distinct classes. Each comes with a unique set of abilities, weaponry, special moves, and even class-reactive story content. Further, as your Inquisitor grows in power, you will be able to select a specialization. These advanced classes introduce entirely new abilities to your combat repertoire.

Warrior

Battle-hardened and masters of close combat, warriors are pivotal to any group entering battle. As front-line fighters, they absorb the brunt of opponent attacks, steal enemy focus, and create an opening for deadly ranged assaults from other classes. While some warriors prefer visceral, sweeping damage, many are silverite-clad bulwarks, weathering any blows they don't deflect with their shields.

Mage

Those who can tap into the raw energy of the Fade and block the whispering temptations of demons are truly exceptional. When they turn that mental focus onto the field of war, they can be truly terrifying opponents. Rains of fire, walls of ice, or even the ability to heal allies make up a mage's toolkit. Most employ considerable skills rendering foes not only weakened, but also vulnerable to physical attacks, setting up opportunities for their teammates to exploit.

Rogue

Armed with bows, daggers, and any number of dirty tricks, the rogue's primary focus is damage: tearing foes down one at a time with systematic efficiency. Rogues commonly use a mixture of stealth and mobility to reach positions of advantage, be it a sniper's perch away from enemy blades or behind an unsuspecting mage. Deadly and resourceful, rogues can tip the balance of any strategic assault.

Characters

Vivienne

Referred to as Madame de Fer, "the Lady of Iron", Vivienne lives up to her title. A leader among the mages and official enchanter to the Imperial court, she is renowned as a fearsome woman who achieved her position through guile and deft political maneuvering. Vivienne allows nothing to stand in the way of what she desires - not those who claim she is a social climber, not those who seek to restrict her power, not even her fellow mages who would conscript her into a rebellion with which she disagrees. Vivienne fights to restore order in a world gone mad...so long as that leaves her among those left standing, once all is said and done.

Cassandra Pentaghast

Though of noble birth, Cassandra Pentaghast turned her back on a life of wealth and privilege to join the Seekers of Truth. The ancient order serves as a watchful eye over corruption and magical threats, granted ultimate authority in its investigations by the Chantry - or it did, prior to abandoning their duty in response to the mage rebellion. Cassandra did not join her brothers in this, instead remaining loyal to Divine Justinia and her efforts to restore order in the face of chaos. She is both pious and driven, the sword in the right hand of the Divine, seeking justice above all else.

Morrigan

Whether the dark-haired sorceress seeks to influence the Imperial throne, or harbors more sinister motives, no-one knows for certain. This Witch of the Wilds arrived in Orlais rather suddenly three years ago as the newly-appointed "arcane advisor" to Empress Celene. In this role, Morrigan presents a source of information unfiltered by religious dogma, and satisfies Celene's life-long curiosity about magic. However, whispers carry concern of Morrigan having Celene wrapped around her finger, teaching the Empress forbidden, dark arts in secret.

Varric Tethras

Varric Tethras is one part adventurous rogue, one part dashing storyteller, and three parts trouble. Born on the surface, Varric has little love for his underground brethren - all his contacts lie with the dwarves of the Merchants Guild, though he has little taste for their schemes. Still, he has found a place as an outsider, rubbing shoulders with both the wealthy elite as well as the worst of scoundrels. To hear him tell of it, that's all he truly cares about, though anyone who truly knows him claims differently. They say that, try as he might, Varric has been drawn more and more into conflicts that shake the world - ones that he can't get himself out of with a quick tale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST GAME This game is the best I have ever played. I have completed the game 5 times with different classes of characters and have found it to be enjoyable every time. As good as Origins and so very immersive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent RPG I wanted to wait to do a review until I had the opportunity to play the game more then once. I have now completed my 3rd playthrough and I love this game. On all my play through there are whole locations that I have skipped entirely-this is a MASSIVE game. Gone are the repetitive environments and dungeons from DA2.The graphics are wonderful, voice acting is excellent, story is engaging, the score hits the right notes at the right time. Replay valve is high especially if you use the keep and pick different options from the previous games. I did run into some drop in npc or wildlife. Sometime npc will walk through another npc that you are having a conversation with or get stuck in a loop of going in circles until you finish your conversation. I also noticed that occasionally if you didn't line your self up before you started a conversation with another character you could possible have issue with surrounding environment blocking one or both characters. With that being said non of these issues detracted from the overall experience of this game. The game explains a lot of back story from previous games that was left unanswered. The story will pull you in, the writers did an commendable job and with the music some of the scenes gave me chills or made me smile from ear to ear. One of the scene I really liked is when you finally get to see skyhold. If I had one wish I would have asked that the beginning have distinctly different openings depending on what character you picked like it was in origins even if it was just a cinematic that you watched. In my opinion this is a game that is worth your money and deserve massive kudos. I can only thank Bioware for doing such an outstanding job. Good gaming friends

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mind Blowing This game is one of the best ever released. I'm not afraid to say that it is even larger than Skyrim!!! This game has all sorts of quests to do aside from the main story. There is also end game content that can be done. So even after the main story is finished you can go back and tackle end game content. You have mounts to ride in this game from horses, to dracolisks(which is like a dinosaur/dragon like horse), to harts which are like giant halla in the game. For those who haven't played it's like a moose/deer. Picture a giant muscular deer but with the horns of a moose. There's dragons to dawkspawn to humans and wildlife. You can craft your own weapons and armor. Each follower has their own side story which you can follow up on. You want a really entertaining RPG game this is it. Voice acting is great, graphics awesome, and the story is beyond words. You won't regret this buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made game Compelling storyline with user controlled decisions that affect the outcome. Beautiful graphics. Gameplay was easy to pick up. There were a few glitches that caused both mine and my wife's console to lock up, but hopefully the patches fix that. I enjoy games that can be replayed with different outcomes throughout the story, and this fits the bill. This game was worth the hype and wait!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating beyond belief i loved dragon age origins and even dragon age 2. This game is bad though. Ill start out by saying the graphics and sounds are top notch, no complaints there. The bad parts are the gameplay, interface, and story. The story makes no sense, is not interesting, and does not draw you in. It is ambiguous and frustrating. The interface is confusing and takes way too much time to learn how to do the simplest things. The game play is awful. I can't believe someone play tested this and thought it was good. I can't even tell when my hero is hitting an enemy or not. Don't buy this game, And especially not the deluxe edition, the so called bonuses are absolutely worthless. Im so angry that i shelled out $70 plus tax for this garbage!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Patch needed More like DA2 then DAO. Broken to the point of being nearly unplayable. The whole Warden quest line is glitched. Dialogue boxes disappear, cutscenes freeze. Its a shame Origins was so good. Then they release a broken game. I blame EA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Been waiting a long time for this Its been a long time in waiting, but its here. So far 20 hours in with a possibility of 100 or more. Amazing graphics and gameplay. Great storyline. The only thing that I wish could be better would be the inventory system. It is highly lacking and difficult to tell what you have equipped at times without scrolling through the inventory system.
