Product Details:

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided directly follows the aftermath of the Aug Incident, a day when mechanically augmented citizens all over the world were stripped of control over their minds and bodies, resulting in the deaths of millions of innocents. The year is now 2029, and the golden era of augmentations is over. Mechanically augmented humans have been deemed outcasts and segregated from the rest of society. Crime and acts of terror serve as a thin veil to cover up an overarching conspiracy aimed at controlling the future of mankind...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad I am not a hardcore fan of Deus Ex but I've played these games since they first came out. While it feels like a full mixture of a variety of games, it does give you the liberty to explore the cities within the game. The only thing that was frustrating about this game was the augmentations but at the same time that's what gives the game a rich experience. I know most games nowadays either want a better story line or graphics but I really think this game achieved a good balance between the two. The game does have its moments where it drags but it doesn't hurt the overall product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For people wanting a good story The game is an excellent follow up to Human Revolution and further expands on Jensen as a character and the gameplay is perfectly fine. It's not meant to play like Call of Duty. The AI can be a little silly but the game works well on 'Give Me Deus Ex' difficulty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from negatives and positives The game play is improved and the sounds are amazing but the average storytelling is what hurts this game. As with Human Revolution the story starts off well but just kinda gets boring after a bit. New gadgets add for more fun and new tactics but enemies will cut you down fast if you slip up. Not a big urge to replay the game after I beat it so I moved on to the other game modes which didn't impress. If you're big on soundtracks I recommend picking this one up when it releases.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn't know what to expect... After playing and very much enjoying the first Deus Ex since the reboot, I can honestly say this game didn't live up to the what it could've been. The controls are pretty much the same, which while not bad, actually is rather annoying as it feels like the developers didn't really make an effort to refine them in anyway. The upgrading system is about the same while only adding a few new abilities that really didn't make much of a difference in how the game plays. The story this time, while taking the "social" issues to heart again just didn't have the same feel as the first. I never really got hooked nor cared about what was going on. As for the customization options for weapons, not much changed from the first one expect being able to change ammo types on the fly which is cool, but again not really changing too much. In all truth this game just feels like a DLC to the first game as not much has really changed and the story isn't compelling enough on its own. It almost feels like the developers were playing off the fact how much we loved the first one so they didn't actually put the work into this one and just copied and pasted everything. Finally a really big part that bombs this for me is the fact we have to sign up with Square Enix account to get our DLC content. I got the Day One Edition and the only way to obtain the items is to make an account. I really don't like being barred from content just because I don't want more spam mail or "another" account in something. This game really is a miss for me and I'd recommend the price lower before purchasing as it doesn't hold interest for that long and once again doesn't feel like its own game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Avoid this interative movie I picked this game up right as it came out, and I was expecting a Splinter Cell/Knights of the Old Republic or Mass Effect hybrid based on what I heard and saw before the game was released. But after playing it for 5 hours, I was bored to tears. It felt like I was spent most of my time watching cut scenes (which were not very good) and not enough time killing things. The weapons, game mechanics are pure garbage. I gave this game an extra two days of playing and now I am returning it. Word of advice; if you are going to try a new title you have never played before, Redbox it first.
