I really wanted to love this game. It had finally removed what I hated about the others, but ultimately, it fell flat. The draw distance is amazing, and the sheer amount of zombies on screen is jaw dropping. However, this is one of the only good things I can say. The interface is very clunky. Multiplayer is enjoyable, but was made hard to access. The game has constant sound bugs along with terrible voice acting and god awful one liners. In one mission I heard "Rhonda Rules" about 15 times. The story is laughable, but I expected no better. About 10 hours into the game, I realized that the entire $60 game was a fetch quest. The actual character models are terrible as well, my PS2 had better quality.
The best thing overall is the killing of zombies, which I give Capcom credit for,. The weapon combination is very interesting, especially online, and the physics of the zombies as you smash them with a modded vehicle are outstanding.
Overall, the only way you ever NEED to experience this game is the e3 2013 demo, as that highlights the only good points

I'm always game to try a zombie game, they are usually fun, sometimes ridiculous and most times entertaining. This isn't a terrible game, but when I think of repetitive, this is what comes to mind now. Yes I had fun killing zombies with hilarious weapons and vehicles, but there was nothing really new almost ever. It started out promising, but this game is simply for finding twisted ways to wreck zombies. Now me, I like a little bit of that survivor element, but this doesn't have it. The side-missions just rack up and don't really change too often and the bosses, well lets just say you can defiantly tell this is a Capcom game. To tell the truth I honestly didn't like the main character, I thought he was always freaking out like Ian in The Lost World: Jurassic Park 2. The story isn't bad, but moves very slowly and honestly didn't appeal that much. One thing that actually bothered me a lot was the lack of fast traveling, this is due to the fact side-missions can be spread out and take you all over the place and to get back you have to go through the newly spawned zombies again. If you want a mess around kill zombies in ridiculous ways get this, if you wanted a zombie/apocalyptic game with a story don't bother. I know I'm probably preaching to the choir, I've tried the other Dead Risings and honestly just not my thing.

The game is very fun you can play for hours and hours even after you beat the game not many games make you do that. Lots of weapon combinations to do and test out on the zombies. You can also combine vehicles some even have rockets on them and some have a seat for your co-op partner to blast other zombies. The games campaign is short but still very good you can explore other places and not focus on the campaign. It's not mandatory to just do campaign you can explore around and save people too. I don't like how places are just very blurry it takes time for it to clear. The game is completely an "open world" game without loading that's probably why it takes time for things to pop up and clear up. Overall the game is very fun there's just so many zombies an so many weapons to try out I'm still playing it.
Rated 8 out of 10 by Pellow AMAZING but....
So many ZOMBIES! SO SO MANY! This game is truly amazing. Originally when I got my Xbox One at the midnight release, I did not plan on getting this game. However, when i went and picked up this game it was the perfect decision. I played this game so so so so much! I loved it. It is a fun story, fun gameplay, and has amazing detail on every inch of the map. The downside is... the story is short, it is easy to level up, and has no lasting value. I loved it don't get me wrong, but the only reason I kept the game after I beat it was to get every achievement. I have traded in the game now, but if you are looking for something fun to play, go pick this up. Would probably suggest getting it used though, because you can enjoy it for the week you get it and trade it back and get all your money back.
Rated 1 out of 10 by thexgamer Too many glitches.
Too many glitches in the game will prevent you from progressing further. Google these glitches and you will discover that a lot of people are having the same issue. Not fun at all.
Rated 9 out of 10 by Tearlessdeath Running over zombies again and again :)
This is the first game I played on my new xbox and I wasn't disappointed the story is funny but you can tell they wanted to make this one a little more serious the co-op is a game changer with a friend the carnage is 10 times better then if alone the story with side missions is 8-10 hours just the main story you an a friend can do it in half of that the collectables are fun to collect and doesn't feel like you have to do it but you want to. The vehicles that you use to get around are fun to drive and be happy about that because you will be using them a lot to go back and forth in this game. It would be fun if it had a feature after you beat the game that you could just jump into the world and collect stuff and kill zombies no story

I just bought my Xbox One about a week ago coming from a PS4. I decided to switch up because of my love for Xbox and the lack of games PS4 has to offer. When looking into Xbox One games I seen this one and thought maybe I should try it. I loved the original Dead Rising and just like this one it was one of the first games I got for the Xbox 360. When the second one came out I was hyped up but was sorely disappointed upon playing it, so buying this game I was skeptical to say the least. Now I am glad I bought it because its awesome being able to make weapons and vehicles out of other ones and the open world alone with zombies flooding the streets makes this one a solid game compared to number two.
Rated 10 out of 10 by SONNYCORLEONE93 Best DR yet!!!
Dead Rising 3 is an amazing zombie game with such an excellent open world to discover. this has to be the best DR ever because of the many crazy weapons that you can find, build, and use on the undead, even down to the DLC, which I also bought, is great too. overall awesome addition to a great series.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Ivory777 Amazing game!!!
I can say that purchasing this game will do nothing short of impress you. Gameplay is amazing and graphics are something that impresses me. The sheer number of on screen undead is simply insane. Have to say the downsides are the controls. Sometimes when you want to press "b" to do a certain task (entering vehicle), it picks up a box of nails.... or other random object you happen to be close to. Close camera shots of enclosed areas sometimes is frustrating but rather rare, and boss fights frustrated me lol (I know a noob thing as im new to the Deadrising series). But just as soon as I finished the first play through I immediately started all over again, and that's a first for me!!! Now go buy it!!!
Rated 8 out of 10 by PlagueMarine7 DR3 is a Great Game, must have for Xbox One!
Played Dead Rising 3 for about two weeks now. First game I got for Xbox One due to looking forward to it so much. It did not let me down at all. Gameplay is a 10, Sound is a 6 due to hard to hear story lines from AI so I turned on the sub titles, graphics is a 8 and Lasting Appeal is a 5. I would say after completing game story I will go back to complete side missions and unlock everything in the game. Online play is fun but not really something I want to do. Single player action for me. After that no reason to keep playing so that's the reason for 5 out of 10 on Lasting Appeal. O ya and get all achievement points, no brainier there right! Hope this helps someone, I would say this is a BUY for sure!
