I love this game because it awards you for doing singlerplayer and the multiplayer is so addicting and feels next gen...even on current gen. I love how the game has 10 HUGE dynamic maps with DLC worth buying and guns that feel like something when you unlock them. The game is not like its copied and pasted from BF3. The special maps and better looking classes makes this multiplayer more enjoyable than the last game. Or even better than any shooter this year. I would reccomend to buy this game! BTW need a Hard drive.

by PortalDude THIS GAME LOOKS BEAST
To be honest, this game looks WAY better than I expected! With falling buildings in multiplayer, to AMAZING Graphics, and better AI, this game looks SICK!!! I want to get it along with the XBOX One but the new XBOX is WAYYYY too expensive! All in all, 10/10 for me.

After being out for almost 2 years now I think, Battlefield 4 has been a tough one. From the terrible net code at launch to being nearly perfected by DICE right now. I definitely recommend buying this game for no higher than $35 (and that's pushing it). When it came out yes, it was broken. Now with all the DLC's that have dropped and DICE just pumping out the patches the net code is nearly perfected along with the game. Also with the new community made map in the works with some new weapons in a (free) DLC coming up...this is just amazing. So yes, a rough start for Battlefield 4 but DICE is making sure that with the coming of new shooters, everyone who remember Battlefield 4 remembers it as the game that is perfect. Not only that, but when they stop working on Battlefield 4 they want it balanced, not broken and pleasing to all players. This is the definition of a war based tactical shooter. Great for a short amount of playing time and a lengthy amount of playing time. I recommended rush to all of my friends. Get out there and light 'em up.

Battlefield 4 is an awesome 1st person shooter, the multiplayer is epic, the maps are great and the levolution is awesome like when the skyscraper falls like in the Shanghai map. The campaign could have been better but people don't buy battlefield games for the campaign, they buy it for the multiplayer.

The only reason that i am even giving this a rating that is not below zero is because when it works its actually pretty fun. Here is the problem though, it does not work. 95% of the time you cant connect to EA servers using quick play. I have found that it will work more often if you use the server browser. Another big negative is that your campaign has only a 5% chance of saving. I have been about half way through the campaign twice only to have it delete on its own. I am not going to try it again. In summary do not buy this until EA fixes these problems, which I don't see happening. If you buy this you will just be frustrated. It is not hard to understand why EA is rated the worst company, their lack of customer service is abysmal. You will never be able to talk to a real person, and their lack of keeping you updated on their fixes is atrocious. I personally will not be purchasing any more EA games unless they fix this game. It is a total waste of the 60 dollars you will be charged.

First, before I even go into multiplayer I always do the campaign first. Now the BF4 campaign in my opinion is highly underrated. It brought a more mature aspect to FPS campaigns, and I did enjoy it's cool use of effects and the style of missions. Now the multiplayer although not too different from BF3, did improve some aspects of it. The map styles are various and nice, about the same size and some maps bigger than BF3. They did have a nicer selection in weapons and I loved the levelution, along with some new gameplay features from simple just running and gunning, flying, and some cool new things to play with in water. So did it really revolutionize from BF3, no. But the campaign was better and the multiplayer stuck to it's roots, which could be a good or bad thing, but it did vastly improve, making it a good thing. Overall It's more of a 8.5/10, but I gave BF3 a 9, and it didn't quite reach the standard BF3 made for it's time, but BF4 is here, and it's here to stay.

Battlefield 4 is a great game but the glitches ruin it. DICE is trying to be the COD killer though COD has already killed itself with COD Ghosts. In their quest to kill COD, they have ruined the genuine feel. I Began playing the Battlefield series during BF3 and it was the greatest things I had ever played. When BF4 came out I was pretty amazed with all the new technology and advances since the previous installment of the series. Once I settled into BF4 I felt the negative changes. Like the last game, I find it extremely hard to play this game without friends. In BF4, there is no squad up option. Instead, you have to use the server browser and find a game where everyone can join and even then it doesn't always work. I also believe this game is too easy to play compared to BF3 for numerous reasons. It is no longer a hardcore game. The Veteran package and promotions (Slim Jim) don't work. Overall, it's a good game but you need to have a lot of patience with DICE and EA.

Bought this the day after Christmas for XBOX ONE. I had already gotten all the achievements for COD Ghosts so I figured I would give this a try. I liked it alot, graphics, game play, sound were great. I got sidetracked playing some other games and a couple days ago decided to finish the campaign. I was one level from the end and my save game was gone. I call Microsoft and they said alot of people were having the same problem. So I did a live chat with EA the next day and the guy was rude so I had them call me. They said they were fixing it we went through some steps and it sill didnt work so they gave me a Gold Battlepack. Later that night I tried finishing the campaign and kept falling through the map and dying couldnt move. So I get up the next day campaign saves changed from hard to normal and then my saves disappear again. I have EA call me they blame Microsoft and give me 3 bronze battlepacks. I start a new campaign again today more issues and saves gone again!!!! If you like losing all your saves this game is for you!!!

In my previous review, I said that this game had too many issues, and that people should wait until they are fixed. Well, they were fixed, most of them.. The game runs very smooth, and doesn't lag all that much anymore. The matchmaking actually works now, and the guns and vehicles are balanced. The problems I still have are the game crashing or freezing every now and then (not very often, but it just shouldn't happen at all). And I know it is a problem with the game because my Xbox still goes to the home page and works fine, just the game freezes until I take it out and put it back in my Xbox. The frame rate still drops whenever there is major destruction somewhere on the map. The hit detection is a bit off at times, but overall the game works much better than it did before, and is actually playable now. If you were waiting for it to be fixed before buying it, I recommend you go ahead and buy it now. But don't expect it to be perfect just yet.
Rated 8 out of 10 by JBrown Put some hours in before Hardline comes out!
Everyone knows the pain and torture of EA servers. They're down right awful. Disregarding that though, the game is amazing. I'm not a specific COD or Battlefield fan, but this year, Battlefield definitely took the lime light for me. Pros: Graphics, Gameplay, Sound, and appeal. Con: SERVERS!!!! I know you might be thinking: "oh, they'll eventually fix it, it's not game breaking or anything." But that's exactly what it is. It took them a year to finally get their game where it should have been on day one! Which, in my book, IS game breaking. Fortunately, the few times that online WAS actually working, it was amazingly fun, and had no disappointment. So, if you're thinking about buying this before Battlefield: Hardline comes out. I'd tell you to get it!! It's worth it, especially sense it's like $30 now. Don't waste your money on any dlcs, but buy the game, put some hours in, until BF: Hardline comes out. Good luck!
