Product Details:

A tremendous band of badass heroes fight to protect the universe's very last star from a mysterious evil in this next-gen shooter by the creators of Borderlands. To defend it, you'll need to utilize every type of character and weapon you've ever imagined -- from cyborg hawkmen to samurai vampires to mini-gun wielding man-mountains. Slash and parry, run and gun, cast and dash, or simply obliterate foes all while building and growing your personal team of heroes. Choose your hero and fight alone or co-operatively alongside friends in story missions, or battle against them in fast-paced competitive multiplayer matches.

  • Story Mode: Battleborn's Story Mode is a narrative experience that can be played entirely singleplayer and is even better when it's played cooperatively with friends.
  • Multiplayer: Battleborn's team-based competitive multiplayer action can be experienced by up to 10 players online in 5v5 matches, and includes three distinct multiplayer modes.
    • Incursion: Teams of heroes must defend their base from waves of AI-controlled minions while working together alongside their own minions to destroy their opponent's base.
    • Capture: Teams of heroes face off in a fast-paced death match and must capture and hold objectives on the map to win.
    • Meltdown: Teams of heroes must guide their minions as they march to their death at the center of the map. Points are scored for every minion who throws themselves into the incinerator, and the team with the most points wins.
  • Persistent Progression System: All experience points, whether earned through playing Battleborn's Story Mode or Competitive Multiplayer modes, contribute to leveling up individual Character Rank, as well as player profile Command Rank.
    • Character Rank: Each hero can permanently rank up from 1 to 10 outside of missions and matches, allowing players to swap out augments in their helix skill tree, as well as unlock skins.
    • Command Rank: Players can rank up their own player profile, unlocking badges and titles to impress friends, and loot that can be used to benefit any hero the player chooses to command.
  • Factions: The last star, Solus, is the only beacon of hope for the universe's surviving factions.
    • The Peacekeepers are sworn protectors of Solus
    • The Eldrid are preservers of the natural order of the universe
    • The Rogues are mercenaries only concerned with their own survival
    • The Last Light Consortium (LLC) are war profiteers, exploiting others for their own gain
    • The Jennerit Empire rule others by force, valuing power above all else
  • Battleborn Heroes: Battleborn has a deep roster of 25 playable heroes and no two are the same. Every hero has their own personality and comes equipped with their own unique weapons and powers.
  • Helix System: Battleborn's accelerated character growth system allows players to level-up a character from 1 to 10 and fully experience each hero's unique weapons and powers in a single story mission or multiplayer match.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A beautiful display of a strategy game First, I'll start by saying this game is not Overwatch. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but if you like the smash bros feel go with overwatch. If a game like League of Legends appeals to you more, I'd go with this. There is a lot more strategy in this game than Overwatch, and the playability of characters varies so much that no two games are ever the same. It keeps you on your toes. The graphics are amazing and the feel of the game always keeps you in awe. For $10 this is a great game!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but expected better Definitely worth buying if you are a co-op interactive with friends gamer I would with no question recommend this game to you. Now if you are a campaign junkie and like to play alone I would tell you just to buy borderlands or fallout 4. Overall not to bad of a game but definitely not as good as some of Gear Box's games.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great FPS "Moba" This game is a good team based shooter in the style of a tower defense team battle. The abilities the characters use are fun and interesting and provide alot of strategic edge to each battle. Much like dota 2 or league of legends this game is fun to play the pvp over and over again trying different team comps. All the characters seem pretty viable as long as you take in a proper team. The single player is a little shallow but still fun. It seems mostly there to help you unlock characters and gear for your PVP excursions, where the real meat of the game is located.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hilariously Fun First off let me start by saying I am a HUGE fan of the Borderlands series of games and that is what sparked my original interest in this game. At the beginning I like many other people viewed this as an Overwatch "clone" but boy was I wrong. While the two games have similar characteristics and features that is where the similarities end. Battleborn is much a MOBA with shooter elements so if you are a big COD fan etc then this game may be a little jarring. There are no 1 hit kill shots and picking up a kill in the early going can be a little difficult and turn people off. On the other hand what you do get is a team focused game with a nice skill cap if you are willing to invest the time. Battleborn is visually noisy at times with the over the top color palate and the Michael Bay level of explosions and effects but that is part of the hectic experience which adds to the fun once you get used to it. The champ roster is great with 25 playable characters which you can unlock through game progression and no microtransactions which is a nice change. You also get a "story mode" which to be honest is more like a mission mode than an comprehensive story but it is fun to team up and go after the "raid bosses" for rare loot. In conclusion Battleborn is fun title with a amazing sense of humor and high replayability. Pro: Nice champ pool, easy to unlock new champs, great humor, "story mode", high skill cap, audio queues in match (ex. "Power play there are only 2 enemies left") Con: Matchmaking system needs to be reworked so that you dont get grouped up with people more than 50 levels above you and premades stay with premades etc, visually noisy at times, not very "noob friendly" at the lower levels, no "practice mode".

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hacked Day One I got in a bout 12 hours before I had enough. Campaign was so so. Character dialog was funny though. When I stepped into Multiplayer had a ton of disconnects until I did a hard reset and I was able to connect to matches. First match I played my team was wreck right out the gate. Someone had hacked the character Rath to max level and had no cool downs on his abilities. I came across this hack multiple times. Rath by himself is over powered with the last ability he earns.
