Xbox One Spectra Wired Controller
Not worth the money
Five days after I bought this controller the right trigger stopped staying activated . The right trigger would not keep working unless I started to repeatedly tap it a bunch of times and then it would only stay activated for a minute or so. I figured I could live with that, even though it was annoying, so three weeks pass and the left analog stick starts doing the same thing. I couldn't run forward while playing shooting games. I could feel something inside the controller grinding against the analog stick when I tried to move. The lights on this controller are really nice, but you cant enjoy them if the controller doesn't work. Save time and purchase another product.
If you like customization and flashy appearances then this controller is for you.
The reaction time is slow and on occasion non-existent. I mainly used it for racing games and had extreme difficulty completing races. The triggers were slow to respond and manual gear changes were rough at best. There were a few times where the X, Y, B, A buttons would lose operation while using the triggers.
The whole controller feels cheap. I understand that most wired controllers are lighter, but I felt like it was going to come apart. Other parts of it are clunky and rough. It has great cosmetics though.
I would not suggest this product if you are serious about gaming.
Good for PC
Bought this controller to use with PC games after my Xbox One controller gave in to daily wear. The D-pad is less clicky(noise) than the original, and the start/select buttons feel more defined. I was a little skeptical buying it because I generally avoid LEDs on anything, but the colors were actually pretty well done. You can also control how bright they are or just turn them off if you decide they're a bother. This is probably the best controller I've used for PC so far.
Overall Great Controller
OK, i got the controller and it works great! Also, thanks to GameStop for the free Value shipping. Now if you rated this product low because there is no mic port...Look again, because Gamestop clearly stated that there is no extension port, which made me choose a 9, because I'm mostly gaming off-line, but if you are online for most of the time, do not think about buying this
its cool but built poorly
i bought one and after a week the right trigger stopped working so i returned it and got another one and it had the same problem. it was a waste of my time
This controller is great! The bumpers are spaced a little further apart from the triggers. They were too close on the original. Also the bumpers are easier to press without feeling like you're going to break them from pressing down too hard. It's convenient to have around especially if your wireless controller is about to die and don't have a spare charged battery. It is somewhat inconvenient if you're trying to use a mic since you can't connect one, however it depends on the individual and how often one actually uses the mic. If you're playing alone and just don't like talking to others online (which I see a lot of) it's actually pretty good. The LED lights also make it look so cool!
I just got one of these the other day because I needed an extra controller for when my friends come over and game. I tested it out on all the games I had it was felt great. The rumble felt good, the triggers were just the way I like them. But when I got to NHL 15 I was surprised to see that whenever you have the puck, the skater is always skating backwards. I'm not sure if i just go a back controller or it just does this with NHL 15. this is a shame because it's the middle of hockey season and my friends and I play it a lot. So if you are thinking about getting this controller, think about which games you would use it with
Great corded controler... but no chat port.
If you just want a corded controller, it is perfect! A cord means no batteries which is why I bought it. The look and feel of this is different from the original XBO controller but is very comfortable. And come on, you know the 4 year old in you loves the fact that it has a huge color spectrum of lights!!! But no chat mic port... really?!??! No where on the box does it say "Not chat compatible" that is unacceptable! In this generation of gaming to not have a chat port is not ok, especially with no warnings on the box... which is sad because I really like this controller, and it would have gotten a 10/10 had it come with a chat cable port...
Wired Eye Candy
When I originally bought this I was hoping that the buttons lighted up as well but they do not. The main center as well as the other side lights up just as product on gamestop says. I bought mine elsewhere and the very small fine print once you look again does say that expansion port usb area will not work. So if you just want a good wired controller that does not need chat integrated in it then its a good deal that gives some eye candy.
If your a PC player this controller is great, it responds much better than the 360 controller. And it feels almost exactly like the XBOX ONE controller.
