Xbox One Ear Force XO FOUR Wired Gaming Headset
Not what I expected....
I bought these on their release date and to be honest was disappointed with this purchase... I had high hopes for these headphones. But to answer some questions you guys probably want to know. 1 no need for batteries. The mic is detachable. The headphones are very comfy. Work on my iPhone and tablet really well!... There's a wire u connect to the xb1 and it updates ur head phones which is cool. (I hope they update the sound quality), There is a wire though, only one. It's the one that connects to your control. It also has an adapter that is connected to the control. That's it. Now the bad part of the are 2 things!!! 1. That adapter I spoke of is the same exact one that Xb1 is selling for like $35 to plug in ur headphones! I mean c'mon man if u already have a wireless set, don't waste ur time buying these or the sevens... 2. The sound quality is garbage!!!!! I'm sry guys I'm just being honest. If u don't believe me get ur phone or tablet and put the head phones on and hear the huuuuuuge maaaaajor difference!!!!!!! I kid u guys not!!!! It's so much louder and better for my iPhone and tablet then for my games... I hope that wire I was given updates the sound because it's really weak. Don't get it twisted I mean u can hear the noises really clear and crisp but it's very very low!! Very low!! My x32's were waaaaaaaay better than these I'm really sry guys... That's about it guys... Good luck and I hope this helped out a lot of u guys...
I baught this product today and updated it. Instantly started working perfect. But make sure u keep the controller charged and don't let it get low for maximum experience. Don't let other ppl tell u different till u try it your self.
XO FOUR headset long lasting
This headset I got in october of 2013, very good quality for the money. The only reason why I am buying a new one is because i spilt coffee on it.
Well first thing is first these are a very nice looking pair of headphones, they sound awesome, and there is only one cord that plugs into the controller. The only thing is they are a little snug on the ears, maybe they just have to break in a little bit but other than that i love these. Great if ypou wanna soundwhore people in cod haha. thumbs up!
Its a Decent Headset for the Moment
Did alil research before buying these. Only difference between these and the XO 7 is the interchangable face places and the ear piece pads are leather. Not worth the extra $60 in my opinion. This headset looks cool and its doesnt have 5.1 and it doesnt have Dolby (blame microsoft for that). now the Titan Version of Turtle beach has the 5.1 but doesnt have dolby it will be your best choice but the most in price. But only negatives about this headset is its uncomfortable. the ear pieces swival but the head band part is so stiff if you got a big head like me u cant get any comfort and feels like its clintchin your temples together. also the mic is just straight and it wont bend or curve. it picks up voice pretty nice and the sound overall is ok for just normal surround sound. But if I was you i would get these to hold you over until turtle beach comes out with something better and Microsoft allows dolby digital for those headsets.
Premium Price, horrible quality.
I went out and picked this headset up because I had owned Turtle Beach headsets in the past that I was very happy with. This particular set was in my possession for not even two full days before I noticed the problems.
For one, the left speaker broke and stopped producing sound on the second day, which made me return them.
Secondly they squeak SO LOUDLY that even my friend on the other end of the mic could hear the plastic's noises. This happened for virtually no reason at all, so don't think "I can live with it" lol
Third, you really feel their weight.. it starts to not only hurt the top of your head where it rests, but your ears start getting painful too.
Finally the sound quality is worse than the 65, and 90 dollar sets I have owned before. They are not even close to being worth their prices... and I wouldn't ever get them again.
I guess I should also add that you can't hear yourself speak when wearing them like even the cheaper sets allow, so you're constantly trying to figure out how loudly you're speaking. Very annoying.
STAY AWAY. For your own sake.
definitely worth it
Was fuzzy at first when I plugged it in but once I updated it with my controller it sounded perfect ...better than the $200 ones for sure
I bought this headset as my first nice one for the Xbox One and since I first wore them i have been in love, until about a week or so ago when my first pair blew a speaker. i was still under warranty with Gamestop so i was able to get a new pair for free. Today I was watching a YouTube video on my console and my no more than a week old, $120 (when i bought them) headset, that has barley even been taken out of its case, blows another speaker... I am truly aggravated right now at the face that i have now dropped $120 on a headset that let me remind you, is the best headset i have ever owned when it comes to comfort, performance, and chat but obviously it lacks quality when it comes to how it is manufactured because i haven't dropped it once or listened to my games loud.
is it wireless?
My main concern is if this thing is wireless. My other concern is where is the game volume and chat volume switches are located. Like on the headset, the wire...
This headset looks great. It will compliment my Xbox One nicely. But, is it stereo or 5.1? That I would like to know.
