Xbox One Chat Communicator Headset
I had to get two within 2 months
This is the worst product I have ever bought, within the first month of use it stopped working. Sure I could hear my friends talk in parties, adjust volume, and mute myself, it simply didn't pick up m voice. I treat the mic well, never toss it or smash it. I put it down for one minuet, come back, and I can't talk. Now I have to use my cell phone to talk until I can find a better replacement. Thanks Microsoft for making such a poorly made, expensive piece of plastic.
This is the best device I have ever used!!!!!!!!!!
I got my xbox one chat communicator headset with my xbox one and it is outstanding I have an amazing time chatting with my friends I don't even have, I would definitely recommend this to a friend, also I love comfortable it is, it's like Its not even there because it falls off all the time but it's so light it is very easy to pick it up and put it back on then to realize that my game has ended due to my distraction of my amazing headset falling off. I think microsoft had a huge innovation from the xbox 360s chat communicator headset. Another thing I would like to share about this outstanding headset is that it only covers one ear allowing me to hear all the distracting noises outside of my game which confuses me and causes me to lose in zoo tycoon. The last thing I want to share is the amazing control panel on the controller that gets in the way of favorite games like zoo tycoon, Lego super heros, just dance 2014, sky landers SWAP FORCE, and angry birds Star Wars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does not last
I am currently on my 3rd headset since the launch of the Xbox one. These things keep dying on me every 2 months the chat will not allow me to talk, but will allow me to hear my friends. I am tired of microshaft not making a product that lasts at least the 360 headset worked well for more than 2 months.
Great headset, if...
If you purchased an Xbox One and got this headset for free, or just want a cheap headset instead of buying the expensive Turtle Beach, Microsoft, or Tritton headsets, then this is actually a decent alternative. The sound and microphone are actually top notch, but the material is cheap and flimsy. They aren't going to be as good as a gaming headset, but they are decent for how cheap they are and they provide a huge upgrade from the Xbox 360 headset. I plan to wait until they other headsets have had time to get decent reviews, and then plan on buying possibly a Turtle Beach. But until then, this one works well.
I'm really disappointed with Microsoft on this headset because its cheap and uncomfortable. You'd think with these new generation consoles, they'd start releasing these things with wireless headsets but no, instead they design a headset worse than the 360's original headset. It's really uncomfortable, squeezes my head too much at it's largest setting, the cord is annoying because it's a flat cord the doesn't like to stay straight. I can't wait for a good wireless headset to come out already.
Good Headset... for 2 months
I bought this headset when I got my Xbox One 2 months ago. But it came too my surprise that the headset instantly stopped working. With it's very flimsy design, it looked like the cheap headset you wish you'd never want to buy. Even though it did work well for the 2 months, I still have to go buy another headset now. If your a gamer who wants the best experience on the Xbox One, I would just go out and by the $70 headset instead of paying that in 6-8 months.
Very poor design
Save your money folks and get the Turtle Beach headset. This stock headset is junk compared to the xbox 360 headset. Not only is it cheap, it's flimsy, and the one that came with my xbox one already messed up. I figured this headset would be at least at par with the 360 headset, but it lacks in mostly every way. It rattles in the earpiece, the cord is too fragile at the bottom, and the mic bar is not bendable. The only good thing about this headset is the fact that it's secure to the bottom of the controller. But getting it to detach from the controller can be a chore due to it's construction. It's too sleek, which your fingers might have a hard time gripping on the connector and can cause you to grip too hard or pull on the cord instead. If you pull the cord, that kills the connection and the headset is useless afterwards. Overall review... JUNK. Buy a different headset.
I already went through two mics within a few months. They break easily and i take good care of my items but this mics are a terrible design. If you buy them be prepared to be back at the store in a month to get a new one
Good design, flawed performance.
I like the simplicity of the design. I can't afford to buy expensive head sets, this came with my console. I have used it for three weeks and it no longer works. People can hear me but I can't hear them. There is a short where the wire connects to the usb port on the head set itself. When it was working though the only problem I had was when the controller would vibrate and the sound would become broken. I hope Microsoft comes out with a wireless set soon, this wired stuff sucks anymore. They break or short out too easy. Luckily my Gamestop is going to exchange it once the product is back in stock.
You would think the headset would be wireless with a whole new system! They need to step up the game here...
