Xbox One Charge Station
not good at charging
dont line up on base thats good have to take off the batt back to have it charge had it for 2 weeks had to trade in it for a different charging sys
Had to respond to poor reviews...this charger is very good for the price. Easy to install batteries in the controllers. No need to take battery covers off to recharge controllers. Just place controller in, and forget about it. Easy for me and my 3 kids to charge controllers when not in use..I've had this charger since it came out, and no issues..
This has to be one of the worst Designs ever!
You're never sure if the charger has a good connection with the controller.
Battery Life IS WAAAYYYY LESS than the advertised 25 hours. (about 8 hours)
Charge Time IS WAAYYYY more than the advertised 1 hour. (about 3 hours)
Save your money Plenty of other Chargers out there. Spend the extra 10 bucks, and not feel like throwing a perfectly good Controller through a Perfectly good TV.
This is going to be great!
I had one of these with the 360 and I know it will be great. I wont be spending 50 on two play and charge kits. It comes with two batteries and from the 360 version I would get around 8 hours of play time per battery. So if one dies I will just pull the battery from the other one and use it. No need for other batteries or the charge kits. Plus the indicator lights are always great, letting you know when they are ready to go. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone who plays lots like I do. Great product and glad to see it is back.
Holds controllers, doesn't do much else.
I have the Nyko charging base for the Xbox 360 and I love the thing, so I'm especially disappointed that the charging base for the Xbox One fails so miserably at it's only job: Charging. The Nyko charging base comes with two rechargeable batteries that fit securely in the controller, but in order to charge the battery you need to take off the battery door before you set it on the base, which increases the likely hood that the battery door will get lost. Aside from that, the way the batteries lie in the controller leads to the battery not actually resting on the charging contacts. This was not a problem with the 360 base, but here you have to make sure the controller is placed perfectly in the base, and then it's not guaranteed that the batteries will actually charge, as the charging lights are very unresponsive. I plan on exchanging my Nyko charging base for a different manufacturer's model.
Ok first off this charger base/stand look amazing. I like the design....but that's where every thing stops. It will only charge one controller at a time, and never gives a full charge. The front port works the back port does not. I have to switch out the controllers just to charge them and with only half a charge it is just stupid and pointless, especially if you have someone over and you both want to game and you cant BECAUSE ON OF YOUR CONTROLLERS IS COMPLETELY DEAD AND THE FREAKING CHARGER STAND YOU BOUGHT ONLY CHARGES ON AT A TIME.
So enough with the rant. Save your money and get something different. Not worth it at all.
Buy something else!
Bought this tonight at the suggestion of the sales rep...she suggested it was more reliable then the Energizer brand which sells for the same price and comes with the same number of components...base station, 2 batteries, 2 battery covers. I followed all instructions, inserted the battery, placed the cover on it and docked it, plugged the docking station in and set down to watch a 2 hour movie. When the movie was done, I checked and there was no life at all in the battery. Thinking it may be a bad battery, I switched the other one that came with the set and again waited for a charge, nothing. The product was DOA right out of the box so back to the store it goes. I'm just going to get the microsoft branded plug and play charge system, it's 10 bucks cheaper and probably will work.
Don't Buy! piece of non-working plastic electronic
Bought this item 12-18-13, plugged it up the next night (12-19-13) before going to bed, put both controllers on it, lights come on (indicating charge), woke up today (12-20-13) noticed the lights were off. Thought they were charged, put them back on - item is too sensitive, lights come on and noticed red light - they didn't charge. Pros - none, Cons - too sensitive, doesn't work, and did I mention doesn't work. Piece of non-working plastic electronics, not worth the money - DON"T BUY! Taking it back and getting the Energizer Charge stand - which I should have got in the first place.
Half it worked...
Just bought one of these from the NEX and was very disappointed that it didn't work properly. Only one of the batteries charges. No matter how gently or roughly I place them on the charger only one will charge. Taking it back and ordering the Xbone dual charge dock. From what I hear the dual charge dock comes with a better battery anyways.
I bought this from gamestop because the energizer one was sold out and I really regret it. this design sucks my controllers never charge at all im throwing this
