a huge let down
A Gamestop employee recommended this game to me when we were looking for a fun family game. It sounded like fun. Unfortunately, it's boring, uninteresting, and all around awful!

Don't waste the Money
I don't know why they made a second one, or how it's not way cheaper at Gamestop already. You have to get into weird positions to play, it's way to hard to even get the lighting right and looks horrible.. all the edges around you it doesn't even look like the commercials, and it barely picks up you when you're really close to the tv but it picks up every other sound way farther away and takes off points. Don't waste your money!

Not worth it.
Terrible game. You could "put yourself in the movie" better with photobooth. The commercials for this game made it look 10x better than it actually is. Did not pick up ANY sound what so ever. So we only got points for the "non player lines". Total disappointment.

Really I spent my Money on this
it was horrible. graphics bad. game play bad. you had to contort yourself in a weird position to get into "frame" for most of the scenes it didnt pick up my voice very well but picked up other noises in my house and scored me bad. Cracked the wrapper and it spent all of about 30 min in my xbox and has not been touched since. I suggest borrowing it or renting it before you spend the money. unless its in a bargain bin somewhere for about 8 bucks then by all means Knock yourself out

This game was so lame
This game not worth the money and was not fun at all. The kinect picks up sounds that you are not doing and gave you only a few points. Come on this game sucks.

Major limitations and inconsistencies w/ Yoostar
1. For the Kinect version, the ONLY way to upload your “My Films” clips involves a several stage process to link your Facebook/Twitter account to the Yoostar Playground. Oh and btw even though you may have no interest in a Facebook/Twitter account you don’t have a choice if you want to see or share your clips.
2. EVERY SINLE CLIP when uploaded goes through a “Manual Moderation” process. So, Yoostar is now a self-proclaimed authority on ethics. They INSIST that their company needs view any and all clips before they are “posted” but they don’t offer a solution to email the clips directly as with just about EVERY OTHER Kinect application that supports “uploading"

A really fun party game
This game is so much fun with your friends and alone. This game is meant to be a party game and is so much fun with other people but it's fun alone too. It's fun too practice your acting by doing the quick play or challenge or make up your own lines. But it does get boring after a while when you're alone. When it's with your friends it's non stop fun and laughs. The only thing is that the picture doesn't look as good as it does in the trailers but it's still pretty good. This game isn't well known. I wish it was more popular because it's really cool and fun.

Pretty Good, Great Party Game
Yoostar 2 is a great game to play with friends and family, as you can insert yourself into some of your favorite movies and say some of the coolest lines! The set-up is simple, you pick a scene from a huge list of movies that come on the disc (with lots of others to downlad off of XBOX LIVE) and choose to either ad-lib the scene, or go by the script. Then, you step into the outline of the character you want to be. For example, in The Terminator, you will either stand tall and straight to play as Arnold Schwarzennager, or sort of crouch to play as the desk cop in the famous scene "I'll be back". After it confirms you, the clip starts with you in the actor you chose position. At the top of the screen, lines from the script play, with a bar going over the words so you know exactly when to say them. At the end of your perfromance, it plays the scene back for you, and then grades your performance. The way that you look in the videos is great (not as good as the people in the games' trailer, but good), I suggest that you calibrate your Kinect first though. It is hillarious to watch yourself say "This... Is... Sparta!" in 300 or talk about the six-fingered man in The Princess Bride, and even "It's ALIVE!" from Frankenstein. There are several diffrent game modes, but the one you'll be playing most in Quick Play, where you just pick a scene. The coolest thing in Quick Play is actually that you can create a playlist of the scenes you want. Also, you can pick random scenes to play, or search fro sme by genre. But there is also a Challenge Mode, which is sort of a career mode where you play a bunch of set scenes. Challenge Mode won't hold your attention forever, but it's a nice diversion from the Quick Play. There is also Hollywood Sets and Video Backgrounds (which are unlockable through the challenge mode), where it is just a minute long set and you can do what you want. i found my self very uninterested in these, but maybe someone else could make them fun. The Yoostore is an internet service where you can download more scenes for the game, but I have nt been able to try this quite yet. There is also Facebook integration, where you can upload your videos onto Facebook. Overeall, the interface of the game is good, but the menu is sometimes hard to navigate (like all Kinect games it seems). Flaws? Sometimes it is hard to align yourself with the characters, and you'll be messing with the zoom to get it right. Also, since you reading a script, and the character you play as is turned to the side, you are looking at the TV instead of the character you are talking to. These are just minor inconvinences, and Yoostar 2 is a great game to play (even though you'll be bored if you play it by yourself) with your friends and family, and the multiplayer makes it even better. I reccomend this game to anyone who has wanted to say "I'll make him an offer her can't refuse." on TV. Fun game.

Worth It.
I've been waiting for this game to come out and when i was at Walmart and seen it i picked it up. Im glad I did this game is great. Its a close call between it and Dance Central on which is better. There aint a lot of games for kinects yet and most suck but this is well worth. I had a little trouble uploading my videos online. But i just went to there facebook page and told them what my problem was in 20min they had my answer. They were a great help. Thats a great thing about this game as well. The fact you can share your movies online with anyone. On facebook, twitter, other pages, email. Anywhere you want. Its a fun game I would get it!
