Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than last year's release, but... This year 2K did a better job on this year's release than they did on last year's. Most of the features that were missing have been put back in. For example, you can use custom soundtracks once again for created wrestlers. However, one of the modes they forgot to put back was the Create-A-Finisher. That was one of the best features the previous games before 2K15 had. It allowed for more creativity. As for graphics & gameplay, it plays just like 2K15 & 2K14. The sounds are about the same too. The Showcase Mode is okay. It highlights Steve Austin's career & rivalries. You also unlock challenges as you progress through that mode. Many of the features that were boasted about such as three-man commentary, using hair dye on created wrestlers, & the new submission system were for the PS4 & the Xbox One. I still believe they could make additions to the previous generation games. A few things I would suggest is to allow up to 8 characters in the ring at the same time instead of just 6. This was done before with the PS2 game WWF Smackdown: Just Bring It. If that could be done on the PS2, then surely they could do that on newer game systems. They should also bring back triple threat tag team match variations. There used to be Triple Threat Tag Ladder Matches that were a lot of fun to play.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's alright. Kind of disappointed. WWE 2K16 isn't that bad of a game, but I was a little disappointed. One thing I love about 2k16 is the plethora of Legends to play as. I think it's a great way to introduce the younger generation to some of the Superstars from back in the day. I also love the 2k showcase and being able to relive epic moments from Stone Cold Steve Austin's career. My favorite part is unlocking more superstars, ring attires, and arenas. But I was disappointed about My Career mode not being on the 360 edition. I really loved that in 2k15 on the One. After finishing all of the 2k Showcase matches, you get bored playing standard Exhibition matches. WWE Universe is alright. It's the same as every year. I really hate how you can play as four different Steve Austins, Dude Love, Mankind, and Cactus Jack, three different Stings, and three Undertakers but The Four Horsewomen are not featured in the game. Overall, it's an okay game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Better than 15... But still a ways to go Career mode is much better than last years, except the interviews with Renee... Horrible graphics on her, weird and slow. Also you never look into the camera, nor can you move the camera. That part is extremely silly. More wrestling moves have been added, but not as much as there have been put into games since 96. Like adding wrestling moves from wcw revenge and wwf no mercy! Those games are classic and have many moves in it that haven't been in the other wwe games since. Also, no create a finisher still! That part of the game play added a much needed depth to the previous games that were totally needed. Wrestlers change how wrestle often and devise new finishers often enough, why can't I? 2k bought thq, but yet they only kept maybe 1/2 of creation aspect, weird and wasteful. I don't need 4 versions of the same A A or piledriver. 2014 was incredible

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not worth $60! It's WWE 2K14-15 with a larger, and mostly updated roster. Does not include all of the features that 2k have been advertising. They did the same thing with NBA 2K16. Just wait for a used copy at your local GameStop.
