sexy game sexy girl
i bought this game last year and i love it. acrobatic skills are to die for and not to mention she is soo hot. the levels are pretty short but it makes up for the nice graphics and upgrades you can purchase for Rubi. did i mention she's hot?
Charming Little Game
WET is rare in the way that it is very stylized almost to a fault. The game is a 70's grindhouse flick with a exceptional story. THe game star's Ruby a very B.A. chick who can do unlimted slo-mo and parkour . She shoot's and stabs and quick times her way threw countless henchmen. The games gameplay and tone is very nice and the commercials they have in between levels are cute but slowly you start to notice the problems. The game has a nice lengthy campaign that is about 7 hours long on medium difficulty, it's charm stars to wear off fast. The loading screens, the gameplay get's repetitive, and the commercials get annoying and every time you die the film grain melts, it all gets to be boring. But I stuck throught to the end and found my love for the game and embraced its cheap feel as I wathced decapitaed limbs fly for the last two hours until the story ended. I really thinked this game would have been a really nice download title where more people would have played it.
When i picked up wet, i really didn't know what to expect. a buddy of mine recommended me to buy, so i trusted him and purchased it. I poped in the disc started playing and i was satisfied. the controls aren't to impressive and the shooting is a little touchy and is hard to get used to. the design isn't very good making your character Rube Malone repeat the same game functions over and over. but the games cool theme made me keep playing. its short length is strengthened by the replay value having several difficulty's making it a very challenging game. the film scratch filter is awesome and immerses you in the games 80's style theme. the story line isn't anything special, but the track list containing a list of over 40 80's style punk rock songs is just perfect. when you play wet, you cant help but to get a feeling of excitement flying through the air (or sliding on your knees) shooting your enemies in the face. its just plain sexy.
Good 3rd Person
I bought it because I was curious as to what it is and I really enjoyed it. I just bought it for a friend of mine too.
Baby, You're Drivin' Me Insane!
The word "underrated" gets tossed around a lot when people talk about video games. Many times, the term is misused. For example, games like Modern Warfare 2 are NOT underrated. The Final Fantasy Games are NOT underrated.
Wet is underrated.
I was absolutely stunned at how much I loved this game; in fact it's such a unique shooter, I'm not exactly sure what I can compare it to. It's less about ridding the enemies and more about pulling off flashy combos, and scoring points; like an arcade game.
That sort of gameplay lasts! I often revisit this game just to see if there's any other way I can obliterate the bad guys with style. It's really cool.
But the soundtrack! Oh man that soundtrack! The heart pumping psychobilly tunes really compliment the game, and should be listened to loudly. Also the Grindhouse atmosphere is crazy and I love it as well.
The Creators and developers picked a specific theme and kept with it the entire time , never losing focus. Its like spaghetti Western Graphics with a rough texture scratch on film which gave it its Ultimate charm . The game is thankfully 3rd person so you can see the very Hot Rubi in action during her acrobatic stunts and killing . It is harder to aim , but the game makes up for it in the very first level and just keeps getting better and better . The Only Downfall is the Level creativity , after awhile it gets a little TOO repetitive but it is worth it . The Cinematics and Game play is like your watching a movie , VERY WELL MADE . Money well Spent
Unique ideas, but not a solid game.
When I first picked up this game I was like "Cool a punk, potty mouthed chick with a love of killing." It was exactly as I expected. The game is style wasnt a bad idea, but it wasnt enough to hold it on its own. The levels all seem bland the bad guys pretty much look the same across the board. The story wasnt bad, but I really didnt care about what happened. The only thing that really made me play the game to the end was the awsome "free running" style gameplay and the music. The guns arnt bad, but not really cool, whenever I used them I felt like I was in the matrix or something with all the over the top jumping and rolling. The sword attacks were fun because it actually cut off limbs and was just cool to watch. You get new moves throught the game, but nothing that really catches your eye. There isnt a map of the level and no marker to tell you were to go which became a problem at times. The game isnt great, but the free flowing combat and movement system is a fun and unique idea. I wouldnt say this is a bad game, but it could do with some improvement on the basic game concepts.
WET is HOT
I started out by playing the demo for this game and at first I thought to myself, another bullet time bore, but oh was I mistaken! This game takes what all the others before have tried to do and does it, and more! The gun slinging is so powerful, something I can't say about other games like this one, you can practically smell the gun powder. The arcobatics are flawless and even if some have already been done, WET goes beyond the standard to make them even better. The sword slashing feels kind of hit and miss until you really see what she can do with that bad boy. WET absolutely goes beyond the normal action shooter in a magnificant third person masterpiece. The sound in this game nails it, I've never felt more into a game with music like this. The overall scale tipper in this game, is Rubi. Nothing like a gun-slinging, sword wielding, bad mouthed gun-for-hire who brings the heat. You will love every aspect of WET, again and again.
Great Game Overall.
WET is a great game, It has a lot of unique features that I haven't seen in a lot of other games, Ruby has a whole arsenal of weapons to use. She has many guns and a sword at her disposal. The gameplay was okay at first but I thought I needed more of a challenge, but as I moved up in the game it became much more difficult. There are lot of moves that I like, she can shoot her guns as she slides down a ladder, she can swing on poles. It kind of reminds me of a mix between Tomb Raider and Hitman. She has many assassins that she must dispose of throughout the story, which arent easy. The graphics in the gameplay are very good in WET, but I must say that I thought the cutscenes could use some more work, they seem a little cheesy compared to the amazing graphics of the gameplay. So overall I'd say its worth at least a playthrough. It is a very challenging and fun game, but I would rent it before I decided to buy it.
When I first put this game in and saw the old style movie moments, I was like "oh noo..." So I started up the campaign and find out that the gameplay also has the old style movie screen film scratch going up and down through the screen. After going through the first level, which is basically a tutorial, I didn't know how I was going to like this game, especially with the film scratch. So at the next level I thought, there's no way I can play with film scratch the whole time, so luckily in the options menu at the pause screen, you can turn it off. After that, I figured I could handle the rest. To me, this game is a mix of Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, some God of War, and some wild shooting all packed in. You'll be doing a lot of the same things throughout the campaign: lots of jumping, sliding, swinging, slow mo, and clearing rooms of enemies, but there are a few levels that make it a little more fun. Also after completing the campaign, there is a challenge mode in Rubi's junkyard. This game can be pretty repetitive, has some odd music, and has a load of shooting. Overall it's just a GOOD game.
