I bought this game on a whim, as well as Dark Sector. This one I like, as for Dark not so much. While there are some issues with this game it is still a lot of fun to play. It does seem as if the gameplay does not change to much as you move on more into the game. But being that the game is fun to play, thats not that bad. There are some issues with it, some of the missions are not to clear on where to go. So you may find yourself running around a lot. And besides, its twenty bucks. And some easy achievements! I have not quite finished it yet, however if you are bored and have an extra *edit* and are bored with the games you do own then this may help you with that. At least till all the upcoming titles release. It kind of reminds me of the first FABLE. Not in every way but in some ways its much like that game is. And again if you have the *edit* to use on something, by all means get this title and not some other sad game cause its close to this in price. All in all it can't be beat for the price. Pick it up.

If you liked Fable, then you'll like this game. Viking Battle for Asgard is kinda like Fable...only you're a Viking battling to reclaim your homeland from an evil army brought back from the dead. I haven't finished the game yet but it's very enjoyable so far. I have to admit it wasn't what I expected...BUT this game is EXTREMELY enjoyable! You basically run around freeing your fellow countrymen in order to gather an army big enough to take on whatever fort or encampment you are trying to attack. I just summoned my first dragon and that was pretty fun. So again, if you liked Fable and you like Vikings, then this game is for you. Now, there isn't as much customization as in Fable but it's enough to keep it interesting. I've been playing this game on a HD TV that's running 1080P and the graphics and color on this game are INSANE!!! It's hard to describe how vibrant the colors are and how nice the graphics look. You'll be amazed.

I thought when I saw this title come out that it would be just another quick jaunt through some of the mythos of the Norse, and a quick hack and slash game. When I started it out I saw one island , and well I thought, this is going to be quick. Five days later I found myself finally beating the game, and wanting to start it over in the harder mode. There are a lot of fine points to this game. First of all the controls are fantastic, they are very intuitive and easy to pick up. The one thing is though block and dodge LT & Y when someone is swinging at you, I found that out way late in the game and it would have saved me countless times dying. The graphics are beautiful and seamless. I have yet to see a load time or a skip[ in playing as you are wandering through the lands. The story line is full of twists and turns. Most of the gameplay is pretty straight forward. Last but not least is the gamer points.... Yay a game that you don't have to Get impossible things to get them. And lots of them. Overall get it, enjoy it, and have a lot of fun killing things.

viking is a great game! I usually dont like games like this so i was very suprised how good this game is. the graphics are really good. it is really bloody when your fighting an enemy if you injure it you can completley mutilate it. pretty much the game is you are trying to fight this war against this evil demon lady and you have to build up your army. When you build your army big enough you can have this big war against places that are kindve like a boss. This game is really challenging because it doesnt show you every single place to go so you can find everything with ease you actually have to search around the whole place to find your way into places without being spotted or killed. The enemys are hard because if your fighting more than three than you have to be careful or youll probibly die so its really important to be stealthy. I bought this game about a month and a half ago and im still enjoying this game very much. this game is a really great game. I would recomend this game to anyone who likes violence killing and also a good storyline. you should buy this game.

I ordered this game without any prior knowledge of its gameplay or main story line. What I have to say though is that it in no was disappointing. Very realistic, and extremely enjoyable. It is a challenging game as well as interesting enough to keep you from getting too frustrated to continued when things don't go quite your way. It consistently gives you goals to complete in order to succeed however allows you the ability to bypass some of the less important ones to cut right to the chase. Graphically, it's stupendous! When you fight enemies... WHOOO you're in for a big surprise, especially when you choose to use a special finish-off. Totally worth every penny. Only two dissatisfying elements of this game were, a) a glitch that prevents you from completing one of the missions (however the mission is not vital to succeeding) and b) the ending is a down note. Other than that, FANTASTIC!

This game is awesome. I have put probably 30 hours into the first two (of Three) maps. Each map is significantly larger than the previous. The game has amazing graphics, definitely one of the best graphics I have played on the 360, the environments look awesome. One of the drawbacks is the camera view can cause you to lose track of who you are fighting. The sneak effect in this game is nice cause you fight so many people in certain areas so when walking behind enemies you can sneak kill them without other enemies noticing. The game does have a few parts in it that are very difficult to beat, for those parts it is good to read a walkthrough to get some advice. Following the mini map at the top right of the screen is kinda hard but the storyline is pretty much on a one track path. It is hard to get lost as long as you pay attention to the boring cut scenes. Using the dragons during the main battles is pretty cool, the graphics of the dragon induced deaths are cool. I would recommend this game to anyone looking to put in a good 40 to 50 hours of gameplay with a crap load of achievements.

First off this game isn't really an action or adventure, it is more of a role-playing game in my opinion. Sure the graphics were great and the sound and all that, but I thought the gameplay lacked it's serious potential. In my opinion it took to long to get into some good fighting and that really made my first impression start out bad. But once you get into it you get to do some cool battles and challanges but another thing that really got to me is that there is so much walking around to do. You have to walk around in almost everything you do and the directions are not that clear either. I would always eventually get there but it took maybe 2 and a half hours. So this game wastes a lot of time walking to sum that all up for you. So if you are into role-playing and all the stuff (I am obviosly not) you might like this game but I think you should at least get the used one so if you do not like it you can return it in less than a week and get all your money back. Also if you do not already have Call Of Duty 4 I think you should get that over this because I think that is the best game made so far.

Vikings: battle for asgard said it would have an interesting story, open world gameplay, good controls and lot's of blood and gore to top it all off! Vikings did have these elements, but not enough. The story was so confusing! The open world gameplay was not so open. Those good controls made combat slow and futile! All that gore was seen...for 1 second, bodies disapeared right when they hit the ground! When I was at the store i had a choice, get vikings or soldier of fortune payback or vikings: battle for asgard. I had played soldier of fortune, thought it was pretty good, graphics were ok, the story was pretty interesting and the combat was exciting and intense although, soldier of fortune was way too hard with no cover system, it was still pretty fun. In vikings, soldier of fortune was better in every way and equally hard. Overall vikings was a huge disapointment!
Rated 5 out of 10 by Asgardian Generic Action-type game.
I had high hopes for this game, I mean it's a Viking game, which should have tons of bloodshed and violence right? Well it did. However, the gameplay itself is so dull. The jumping in this game is so plain like in many other action games, the jumping doesn't look like much but you can jump from a cliff all the way down. The action in the game is good too but I hate that you can only target ONE victim at a time. I mean, c'mon, if you're going to be playing a Viking with some sexy weapons you're going to need to be able to hit multiple enemies right? Well sadly not in this game, not even the spells would do that. It's a great looking game but sadly it lacks the excitement for adventure and action. I love the story though, so that made me want to play for a bit longer. Aside from the story and the weapons and such, it's a dull game that gets boring very quickly.
Rated 9 out of 10 by WizardFight Sleeper hit in my opinion
I love this game, a little short but aren't they always when you love a game. Theres not a whole lot I would change about this game. I can see how some might think it's a bit repetitive but I really didn't feel that. The game play is very challenging even on normal. The graphics are beautiful in HD, the Sound is perfect, had no complaints about the controls, the camera is a bit choppy at times but over all pretty good. The big battle fights at the end of the quests really feel epic in size,I felt like Brave Heart running down the hills to fight. If your a fan of Conan, Vikings, Norse mythology then I really think you'll love this game, hell even if your not I think you'll like it for what it is. I had a blast all the way through. This is a sleeper hit in my opinion. Big open ended game play start to finish. Play it on hard to make it a bit longer. HAILs.
