I got this game for $15. I couldn't imagine paying 60$ or even 40$. If your A Tron fan, you will like the first fifteen minutes. If your not, keep looking for another game. The graphics are good and fall inline with the movie. That's the best thing about this game. The controls are glitchy. Fights are easy, but difficult to control. You spend the majority of the game climbing walls jumping over objects, climbing walls, climbing walls.....Did I mention you do a lot of climbing walls!!!! The camera view of your character makes it very difficult to get into this game. I found myself on so many WALLS...(climbing walls)....with no view of where to go next. You have to guess where to jump. I died more from wall jumps than I did from fights.
This game gets old very quickly. There is less strategy and more button mashing. Like I said I got it for $15. At that price its ok, but once it hits the $9.99 rack then I will say its worth what you pay for it. Until then, borrow it, rent it....but I wouldn't recommend getting it as a keeper.
Rated 10 out of 10 by SynAngellus Not just a Movie-Based Game!
This isn't just another game based on a movie. Heck, this takes place during a time BEFORE the movie does. A Prequel, to sum it up. So in a way, it'll help you understand a few details to the movie better.
The graphics were amazing. The circuit-like cities and terrains all seemed so high tech to me, perfect for the Tron series. Game play was a little sketchy at first, but really awesome once you get the hang of it. The campaign was harder than I thought it would be, even for the Normal difficulty setting. Great soundtrack, with a little bit of the Daft Punk music we all love in the upcoming movie.
It's a great buy for anyone whose a fan of Tron. I personally never even watched the first Tron movie until I played this game.
The game's story itself was not bad. But it left me feeling unsatisfied. I suspect when the Tron Legacy movie comes out, it'll feel like a true ending to the game.

This is a type of game that makes you think: Should I buy or pass? The reason for it is because this game has aspects that are good and bad. First, remember this game was made by Disney so it has to be more on the kid friendly side. Second, the overall gameplay seems like it could have been made better. My guess for this is because it is based off a movie which means developers want to make the game fast so they can release the game around the time the move its based on or around comes out. However, this game as cool aspects like the light cycle and a multiplayer that offers a good amount. Combat is alright but may get repetitive. Overall, I think you should give this game a try but it may feel to childish to some.

Rated 3 out of 10 by NickTastic Rent...don't buy
Gameplay: fighting is fun but you will be doing a lot more running on walls and falling to your death because you have to go at the wall a certain angle.
Graphics: Seems like a good game for graphics... did glitch a few times playing it... even after the update though
Sound: If you like the sound track from the movie... you'll like the sound track here
Lasting appeal: Could not even finish it. Tired of falling to my death all the time because i didn't go at the perfect angle to start walking on the wall.
If you have a short fuse like me... don't get the game. Its not worth it

I just got this game today (black friday, buy 2 get 1 free) and I have to admit, it looks good. Although the controls are hard to grasp at first once you get the hang of it the game becomes a new experience. Honestly, I think the best part of this game is the free running on buildings, scaling eight foot walls and pretty much exagerating every jump off of the park bench. In summary I think that anyone who buys this game can say that riding a light bike is everything we've wanted. If you ever have the chance to get this game, free or otherwise, I suggest you get it.
Rated 4 out of 10 by ARockSmith I've Never Hated A Game More Than This One
This game made me want to break the tv tray that I was sitting next to in half. This game would only be good for a 8-10 year old kid because they pretty much don't know what a good game actually is. The fighting is pretty much the same moves after you unlock all the stupid disks. Running to get health was frustrating, climbing was frustrating, fighting at times was frustrating, and the driving was frustrating. To some it all up this game was frustrating. I DONT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. If you for some reason want to play it yourself get it used.
Rated 8 out of 10 by LordOnion Pretty good considering.....
Considering that is is a movie game it's not bad at all. The graphics were good but then again everything in the Tron world has glowing lines and doesn't require much detail. The game is different in it is 50% running walls, climbing, riding the light cycle, and getting where you need to go. And 50% fighting with your light disc/tanks. You spend a lot of time climbing and finding ways into places you need to be. That is fine as long as you don't buy the game thinking it is full on action from start to finish. I only had one knock on the game and it was the controls. Sure it's fun to run across walls and jump and climb but you can't make any mistakes. One wrong jump or if you aren't facing exactly the right direction you fall to your death. No matter the difficulty level you will fall and die repeatedly when playing this game. There is one spot where you have to jump, run up the wall, and grab a protruding square. If you are not facing exactly straight ahead and lined up with the square above you on the all you will miss it and fall. There were a few places I died many many times just trying to get where I needed to go. That can be frustrating. Some may not like the story but as a casual gamer I don't worry too much about that. I say if you like the original Tron and plan to see the new one then give the game a try. Or try it if you just want something new to play. The game was pretty challenging and fun to play.
Rated 4 out of 10 by Sonic889 Better visuals than gameplay
it seems as those the developers put more effort into the cinematics of the the game, than the actual gameplay itself. The combat is choppy, and the Tron universe isn't right everyone, seeing those blue lights everywhere is a bit annoying. You get to drive lightcycles and tanks. The combat is difficult to master, because certain enemies need diffferent powers to beat them with.
Rent the game, cause most likely you'll either destroy your controller in frustration, or the game, or you'll get bored of the repetitive gameplay.

the game doesnt look super smooth, but it does look like it has the fun factor, and sometimes thats all that really matters. Any Tron fan will most likely buy this game new or used later down the road. I would like to have to have it the day of if possible. Any takers want to buy it for me? I got too much shopping to do, and not enough for myself. Oh did I mention for those of you who do not know, Daft Punk did the score/soundtrack for the film.
