Did not expect myself reveiwing this game.
Yeah so as I was spending the holidays with my family I told my younger cousin he could by a game and play it on the X BOX 360 with me. So when we go to the store instead of getting Portal 2, Saints Row, or Gears of War 3 (common Co-Op games) he gets Toy Story 3. Now don't get me wrong the Toy Story saga is in my opinion one of the best movie franchises out there with The Dark Knight saga, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the Harry Potter franchise but by now all of us must know that when there is a movie licence game it will be terible (excluding X-Men Origins Wolverine UNCAGED where that was better than the movie it was based on). So I played the game not knowing what to think and it was actually one of the best games that I had played recantlly. So you all must know the story. After ten years of the events of Toy Story 2, Andy is heading to college leaving his toys to wonder what happens next. So out of fear of being thrown away they escape to SunnySide Daycare where they find that everything is not as it seems as SunnySide (Don't let the Name Fool You) Daycare is ruled by an evil teddy bear that has the smell of Strawberries. The story is a blast to play through and it is even better with a friend (or family member) and while it is short it is fun and remenisent to the movie as you play through key points of the story with some add on levels that may seem like level padding (which they are) but since they are well put together and very fun you tend to ignore the fact. You also have a cool frature called Toy Box mode which is so fun (actually handleing like an open world game with a large area to play in and side mission that you can complete) and is the true esens of what makes this game fun as you are able to do anything from mini car racing, and mining in old caverns. Gameplay had to be perfect so that you would really feel like a small toy in a big world and to be short the gameplay was amazing. You can play as three different characters (Woody, Buzz, and Jessie) who can all platform, throw plastic balls and each other while they can also have their own uniqe ablities and all of this gives you one of the most emersive gaming experiences in current gaming history. Sound is the best i've ever heard in a game to date actually competing with L.A. Noire as all actors are back to protray there charaters from Tom Hank's Woody to Tim Allen's Buzz with one exception I beleive being Stinky Pete. Graphics are surpringly amazing as they out preform most game at the time. Lasting appeal would be nothing if not for the game's open world Toy Box. All in all if you want a cinimatic and emotional experience go buy the movie because it is one of the best movies of 2010 and then get this game for a great story and an amazing opertuninty to play with family and friends. This game receives a very high five out of five to ten out of ten stars at first posiblely getting a nine but seeing as this game lived above what was expected of games tied after movies. Please comment and rate this review.

A pleasant experience
I have played games my entire life. I have played games that had me ripping the heads off minotours and games that had me decorating my dream house, but very few have had me feeling like I was six years old again. As I rode around my wild west sandbox, in a fancy sports car, the screen went dark for a second before a short cinematic played out telling me I now had access to goo that could either shrink or enlarge anything it touched. My eyes widened as I rushed to go play with my new toy. I made my sports car into a monster truck then I shrunk bullseye to the size of a mouse and zipped around the world like a bee. After hours playing in the games sandbox mode I tried the story mode. What I found was a weak reinterpretation of the movie redeemed by exellent level design and coop options. This game is probally not for the person who wants to mow down terrorists or teach their level 69 mage to blow up a small land mass, but for some one who wants a experience filled with nostalgia, dumb fun, and a little bit of discovery this game is for you.

Ahhhh maybe Yes but maybe Not
K first, this game has some pretty good graphics and good sound blah blah blah...let me tell u this, u get really bord of this game in about 2days!...this a good game for kids 12 and under, but any higher its WACK...it does not have a very long gaming experience, i finished the game in about 37hours total (not including *toy box mode). the toy box mode is pretty fun untill u like bought all the things for ur town in the Al's toy barn shop, it aint worth $49.99, or $39.99, its about worth $15.99...go ahead and buy it but ur gonna regret spending the money on this game! but then agian im 14 and i like toy story but this game is boring after about 2days...i would recomend this game for kids under 13 but not any higher...

As far as kids games go, this on is alright
I'm a hardcore gamer, I have about 30+ M games. But I still found Toy Story 3 to be an alright game. It's fun, and has some interesting gameplay, but there are a few things that hold it back.
First of all, the music, is painfully repetitive. When ever my little sister is playing, all I can hear is the same annoying music over and over and over again. Though it's really only a problem in the Toy Box mode.
Now let me talk about the Toy Box. It's nothing like I expected. I'll admit, I had some fun with it for a while, but after that I was so tired of it. It has minimal customization, terrible music, and repetitive missions and character dialog. Until about 2 to 3 hours on Toy Box mode, you really have nothing to work with. But by then, you're likely bored and sick of it.
The story mode is pretty good. It's your basic 3D-platformer with Toy Story painted over it. It has minimal glitches, and it's got some good variety to the levels. I never saw the movie (loved the first 2 as a kid) so I really can't say anything about accuracy. The controls work well, and the character abilities usually work fine. But the SunnySide Level involved some incredibly annoying controls and challenge. I hate that level.
Other than the lacking Toy Box, some annoying dialog, and some stupid game moments, it holds up pretty well. I'd recommended it to little kids, but anyone older that about 12 should leave it be.

Decent, but not that Great
Toy Story 3: The Game is not nearly as good as most reviewers make it out to be. The game is short and overly-simplified for kids. The graphics are decent, but there just isn't enough to this game. I was hoping for something that I would enjoy as much as I enjoyed the Toy Story 2 game, but I just didn't. This game may be great for younger kids, but if you're considering buying it for a teenager or an adult...Don't. I was able to finish this game within a few hours, and the "Toy Box" mode I had heard so much about turned out to be extremely boring and unintuitive. Believe me, I REALLY wanted to like this game... The voices for the characters are decent, but they just weren't the same as the movies, so I couldn't stand them. So, if your looking for a good game for kids, get Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga or something. Don't get this.
