Top Spin 2
DONT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT A FRUSTRATING GAME!!!
this game sucks so bad! i dont even know where to start! i love tennis i played tennis for 10 years i watch tennis on tv but this game is horrible. your player will be ranked #2 in the world! some how the draw you get for a tourny will have playing #1 in the world in the round of 16 thats cool beat him in 3 sets! well then the next round you just have to play #3 in the world! thats cool beat him in 4 sets! then you have to play #8 in the world and it will be the most frustating thing you have ever done! tie break for every set you win! if it is an important game the cpu will just hit unreturnable shots until it is 0-40 then you have to work you way back to deuce! they try to make every game the most epic game ever! and dont even think about simming through anything! ranked #1 in the world playing #100 and you try simming to save some time! but no #100 will totally win! and one of the most annoying things is they feel the need to show a dumb cut scene of player reactions after ever single point! i know how he should react I JUST PLAYED THE POINT! and i dont even feel like wasting anymore time typing the lame stuff that happens in this game!
my friend had it and it was pretty fun.. and it is also good to play with friends.. get it
Fun and Well Done
I just bought this game cuz I wanted a tennis game, and this one was a great deal at 4 bucks used. It's definitely a challenging game but not so hard that you would stop playing in short time. You continue improving both in stat skills through training and matches and you also improve your own ability to use different types of shots as you keep playing. It took me just over 2 seasons to get to number 1 position. The customization of the actual physical look of the character is unlimited, and you can make some really goofy looking faces. Sound of the ball strikes are decent. Graphics are average, nothing to wow about. The one major gripe I have is the ability to use trick shots using the comination of the left trigger and buttons. It just doesn't seem to work and I never used it and still reached #1 position. Power shots are extremely difficult to pull off and volleying in doubles can be difficult to master. The other negative point is the graphics of the players. They used different names for the characters but did not create unique looks for many of them. For 4 bucks, it was worth the fun. I'm looking forward to see the improvements in Top Spin 3.
This game has very good graphics. The multiplayer is not as fun as the single player, though, which is very rare in video games. In career mode, you can choose your country, create your own name, and tweak every aspect of your person from his/her DNA, his/her pimples, his/her height, width, weight, eyes, mouth, hair, and everything else you could ever think of. You start out at rank 200, the lowest. You get 5 seasons to make to number 1. But you have to beat Federer, Corsia, and everyone else. The multiplayer offline includes party games, exhibition matches and plenty of other games. I've never tried online with this game but I think I should. I love this game almost as much as I love Halo 3. I think that this game has an excellent multiplayer and superb graphics. I also think that the multiplayer could be a little better. Let's see if Top Spin 3 fixes this.
