Ok, so i buy this game only to have my brain ripped out of my skull trying to figure out what the heck they did to this franchise. I have bought, watched and played every TW game to date, all the while saying to myself, man, this game is getting worst and worst each year. And i was right. This game is an abomination among sports games and i cant find a single thing worth mentioning about this game that is remotely good. Its all garbage. From the creation of a player, to the selection of your accessories. All of it is trash. Its like EA doesnt even care about us Golf fans anymore. Quit trying to make a game so flipping complicated trying to make every single person happy, and make a game that works would be my best hunch. Seriously though, all they added was the Ryder Cup and thats it. This game is the prime expample of a franchise in the gutter. With the exception of NHL and NCAA. I dont see EA doing well for much longer. Give up a portion of the rights to NFL and PGA and let some one more capable try and make a game. my goodness.

ok so this game is pretty good. there are a few things wrong with it though. 1. the other day im playing in the tournament mode and i hit my drive staight down the middle. my next shot is close to the trees but no problem right?? wrong, i hit it a few yards right of the trees and appears to hit a branch thats not there!! it happened three times!!! 2. the black course at bethpaige is the biggest peice of bull! on hole 15 im 160 yard out from the green and im thinking 6 iron..i mean in real life if i can do it it should be easier on a game..i come up 30 yards short!! make the corse and the shots that come with it realistic. 3. make the chipping shot better..i looked were it said 100% was hit it 100% and hit it off the green!!wtf? thats not reall...now 1 thing that would be cool to add would be individual sounds to the clubs...like make a cleveland driver sound like a cleveland driver!!

I just got this the other day and started playing. I really like it. EA has a way of improving their sports games each year. The graphics and animation seem to be alot better and smoother. And YES they got rid of the training instructor that put you through practice after every round to keep your skills up on last years version. I hated that, to me it was a real pain and boring. Now you allocate the xp you earn to the skills you want and it stays, or you can spend your xp on new stuff in the pro shop. I had problems connecting online with the last version because of my location but I played a 2 team alt shot with no problems and it was great fun. The online lobby has be revamped and looks great. It seems easier to hook up and start or join a match. If you played the previous version I'd recomend this upgrade it's well worth it.
Rated 7 out of 10 by pwnzorz When will it get better?
I now believe what i have been feeling since TW 2005. Felt like this franchise has just been slipping into the deep end year after year. 06, 07 were decent enough but 08, 09, 10 were terrible and now 2011 is just an abomination all over again. The dialogue is the same drull garbage as the last three years, the crowd animations are exactly the same as the last three years. The fairways and greens are just as bad and so it the water. Also, whats up with the charactor customization? Its like they force you to have to use the Photo game face. And the ethnicity part of it is extremely stereotypical. The controles to make your face and body the way you want are still clunky. The voice is still trash. Oh, and they took out the Tiger Swing animation and added hockey swings etc. They also added focus and true aim and they are not good. You run out of focus off the tee shot and dont get any more until the next hole. It still shows commercials. I hate those. And now you buy your stupid looking equipment and clothing with experience points. Also, the training in the beginning is just nails on a chalk board. The narrorator cant put enough diabetes in his comments on XP. So where is the good you ask? I have not found it yet. This game is flat out mediocre. And shame on this publisher for destroying the TW franchise.
Rated 2 out of 10 by shanesta24 This Game Doesn't Work
There are many things wrong with this game. From creating a player, to earning experience, it's just bad. The way you earn money and the way you gain experience should be separate, right? Wrong. In this game they combined the two, making it very difficult to purchase items from the shop, when you feel forced to use it on your attributes. Another problem is that gaining experience is very difficult. Unless you complete every Skills Chalange, which I recommended, it is almost impossible to afford the larger shop items The only real way to gain any experience is beating Tiger's last putting challenge, which becomes very tedious and boring! There's no fun in doing that and you get bored very quickly. You would normally think that over time you could eventually achieve the perfect golpher. But no. You are forced to purchase items you don't even like in order to make your golfer better, so you end up looking like a poser! You have to plan out which items to purchase in order to have even attributes. If a shirt helps out your balance, it will hurt your swing speed. So you can never have a perfect golfer. Clothes are no longer just about looks in this game. There is also this mysterious password section, and if you look it up online, you find no answers. They should not have the experience and money be the same thing, and overall I say no to this game.

For all of you that want the Masters to be on a Tiger Woods video game it is NEVER going to happen! The rights to the Masters and Augusta National are held by the Augusta National Golf Club. The chairmen are not interested in profiting by letting EA digitally creating Augusta National for a game. The last time it was done was in 2006 for the PC version of TW 2006. It was an unofficial remake of the course. Augusta will for sure not allow Tiger and EA now that his reputation is tarnished. The PC game "Links" also has an unofficial design that is superior to the TW creation. The Augusta National GC has said in the past they might authorize a game that is only centered around the Master's and Augusta, they think it is so special it should have its own game. Personally I think they just want to keep the awe and mystique of their course from the masses. The public has had about enough of it I think, Obviously people here want to play a game featuring Augusta. I think in the digital age they should finally allow it. We have seen 3D HD recreations of the holes, flyovers, millions of patrons have walked it and seen it in person. Ill leave you with this. Bill Gates is a memeber at ANGC. If anyone, I think he is the best person to point this question at. Microsofts Xbox360 has the most to gain from an Xbox360 only release, however, I don't think even HE has the power or pull to make it happen.

Dont get me wrong 2010 was/is great except for how easy it is to hit a perfect ball bc people figured out that if you hold the club back evey seconed is 7% power so if they want to hit it at at 80% they hold it back 3 sec now i call that cheating when you play with someone and they draw the ball back and make it 8of 9 holes and the shoot 30 under that is ridiculous i hope they fix that an take out the spin all together i mean if u want spin you should have to put it on before the shoot if they fix them to things it will be the greatest game ever
Rated 0 out of 10 2 easy??
try playing the game on tour pro without any aids and if you can still shoot 20 under you can call it to easy. you just sound really ignorant calling a game easy when you are using power boost and spin control in the air and using a putt preview line. those things are in there to make the game easier for everyone to play. you want a challenge or you want it to be realistic play on tour pro, that's what makes it a golf sim.
Rated 0 out of 10 by PuppySnacks13 Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2011
Since the game is not out yet on the market for purchase, which will be $59.99, this preview-buzz is based solely upon the demo available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Playing the demo felt like playing a very refined PGA TOUR 2010; swing mechanics felt smoother and ball flight trajectory appeared more realistic. The first big noticeable improvement was the sound of club contact with the ball and your follow-through, it is more fluid and realistic than the previous releases. New features included a "focus" display meter for increased accuracy for hitting fairways and greens, a "focus" point for adding more backspin, topspin, or sidespin to your ball, wind now animates your characters clothing, and an active side pop-out players can bring up to display the hole layout. Also, there are a few new PGA TOUR players to select from including Boo Weekley and Steven Ames. For actual golfers out there, this is the closest game to an actual simulation of golf for the Xbox 360 and a definite buy. However, expect to be playing with unrealistic players who will consistently hit 300+yd drives with the power-hit button smash, hit one bad shot and quit, and even add unrealistic ridiculous spin to their ball when playing online. Thankfully, there is a TOUR PRO option to rid these players out and play a more realistic round of golf. As for the "video-game golfers only" as well as the actual golfers, we can both expect some older courses to be returning in this game as well as paying MS Points to redownloaded courses we have seen in the past in future downloadable content. All in all, expect this to be a great golf game for the Xbox 360.

There should be a superstar kind of thing where you can create a golfer of your own and have a career with him, and make him/her play all the tournaments and stuff. Also, there should be a million dollar reward or something for the first person to make a hole-in-one. I think tons more people would buy it if it had all these things requested.
