This game does not look good. There seems to be way to much hype for this game. First off, that graphics are awful. I have seen indie games on the Xbox Live Marketplace with better graphics. Just watching the gameplay footage of this game made me sick. Constant screen tearing, and a awkward shaky screen was very unsettling. As for the gameplay, it looks awful as well. The gameplay seems very boring, and slow paced. You know something is wrong when the only gameplay footage shown is them walking around and climbing ladders. They stab a zombie once or twice, and it looks awful. I really feel bad for anybody who is still excited for this game. If you are a fan of the TV show, comic, or TellTale game, I recommend not purchasing this game. Considering they have released very little information about the story, I hope for the best it does not butcher the story line. I have VERY low expectations for this game, and can't wait for the official release. Who know's, maybe I am wrong. But I highly doubt it.

The first impression is one of incredible let down. In today's sandbox world of games, this is the far end of the spectrum. You won't be able to go off the path AT ALL in most zones not even a few steps. Obstacles become arbitrary fences to force an experience. For example, in the show, Daryl can scale a wall, but in the game he cannot climb over the back of a semi tractor, nor under the semi-trailer. Terrible. Controls are lacking and clunky. For example, I am a great shot with a 30.6 and also a veteran of PC and xbox first person shooters. Accuracy of the scoped rifle was aweful. The expected result of throwing a bottle for distraction (a built in feature) did not follow the expected trajectory... never worked as expected. You end up having to kill all the walkers...anything else and you will be overwhelmed. Oh, and there are random respawns if you get more than 30 yards from the area and it is out of line of sight.

Rated 1 out of 10 by Bananaphone Very very disappointing
There are very few games that I am genuinely disappointed with and/or I can't finish because it's so bad. This game meets both of those criteria. I am a huge fan of The Walking Dead. I read the comics, I watch the show, and I was expecting a zombie game that meets the amazing standards of TWD. What I got was a lackluster game with a similar feeling to CoD Zombies, which, as any true fan of TWD knows, is NOT this type of zombie story. While this may appeal to some people with a general concept of the show, or for people who just love to kill things absent-mindedly, it won't appeal to people searching for a beautifully written story, with smart gameplay. All of the levels in this game feel extremely similar. The zombies look generic and there are about three or four different looking ones. The game became so repetitive and awful at one point that I just couldn't bring myself to finishing it. If you are looking for a genuine Walking Dead experience, get the game by Telltale Games. This couldn't compete with that game even if they were the last two games on earth.

Rated 8 out of 10 by cataclysm117 I love the walking dead.
I love the walking dead and despite what most people think about this game I actually enjoyed it, however there were many flaws. To start off the graphics were really lacking and could have been a lot better especially by today's standards, also the replay ability of this game was not to great you can play threw this game about once or twice before it gets boring, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good game it had a very interesting story to it. It shows how Daryl's dad dies and shows how Daryl got the crossbow which was cool and also how him and Merle made it to Atlanta and even shows dr. Jenner ( CDC scientist) leaving on a helicopter to go to Atlanta which was pretty interesting. Overall I will say that this game is not worth 60 bucks but rather 20 bucks. I would recommend to any walking dead fan looking for a cool very short campaign evolving Daryl.

this one of my most anticapated game of 2013. but i just can not take the haters. the haters say the graphic sucks so the sucks or this game is just a cash in because the graphics suck. these hatersgot me so mad i almost flipped a tablre. to the all the haters, graphics do not matter, what makes a good game is not baced on graphics but gameplay. and baced on the trailer, it looks like great gameplay. plus peole say it is going to suck because it is being made by activision. it is not being MADE by activision it is being published by activision. the game is being made by terminal relality who made the awesome ghostbusters game. am i going to pre-order? heck yea.is it going to be as amazing as the other walking dead game? no but i do not think people should compare them because they are two different genreas. but this game is going to be awesome.

I love the series, but have to say this is one of the worst games I've ever played. So bad to the point I solely created an account just to prevent anyone from buying this terrible game. I've never played such a repetitive game. I ignored the reviews, and was like its Daryl Dixon killing zombies. How bad could it possibly be? It's that bad. A game like this could have had so much potential. But obviously it was rushed and not cared for, because it reflects in every way shape and form with this atrocity of a game. I rented it from red box and am so glad I did. I beat it in less than 3 hours, and truly feel sorry for anyone who threw there money away. It has absolutely no re-play value what so ever. But I'm done now venting, and was truly looking forward to writing this towards the end of the game, to help prevent people from wasting there time.

I have never watched the TV series but I figured I'd pick up this game because I just love gaming and figured I give this game a shot since the one from telltale was really good, honestly. It's not good, I mean if you actually try to find ammo and stuff it's way to easy, the zombies are too easy, although ill admit the stealth factor is fun, but over all its not fun, the campaign is too short, took me 3-4 hours, that's never a good sign, and the graphics are just horrendous, sound is pretty good and the game just gets boring you are basically guided through the game even with the help off, this isn't the game for survival or zombie fanatics at all, but maybe hardcore fans of the series will maybe like it, the only thing going for the game really is Daryl and even then he's not that amazing. You can't make a game good just off a cool character.

Rated 8 out of 10 by durkaboy69 The haters were wrong, It's Pretty Good!
So i have sunk in a good 6 hours of gameplay into the new AMC's The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, and let me tell you first and foremost, if you are a big walking dead fan, you will enjoy this game! Comparing it to some of the best graphically designed games out today, TWD SI wouldnt rank that high, but nonetheless the story is pretty good and the game is somewhat challenging because it focuses on your survival strategy as well as your ability to get through or around groups of zombies. Great game, not perfect because of the graphics not being up to date with current titles coming out (the graphics still aren't that bad) and the fact that there is slight repetitiveness in gameplay and layouts. I'm pleased with this game, especially for the way it was released cheaper and without much gameplay footage. Pick it up Walking Dead fans!

Rated 9 out of 10 by MoistedPikels Games shouldnt be based on graphics
This game had great gameplay. There are aspects that could be improved on. All games shouldnt be based alone on graphocs, its like having only really good bass for a song and you would then like it. The graphics are good. This game was rushed by activition because they wanted out by the end of season 3 of the walking dead. it was originally planned to be released later on during the year because more work could be put into this game and therefore at first its price was 60.00 but went down. Honestly if you are a walking dead fan you will like this. and plus I wanted to know how daryl and merle came to meet up with the gang and how the crossbow was obtained etc. Overall good game, but more time should have been spent on it and should have been released around fall. Good but not Great. Go watch the walkthough by smoove on youtube of this game.

Rated 8 out of 10 by BigdaddyB If you love The Walking Dead on AMC get this
Ok first off, if your getting this game thinking its gonna be like Activisions call of duty games then your crazy. I see all these complaints about the game, there is nothing wrong with it, people wanting big open world, sorry thats just not what goes on in The Walking Dead tv show or the comics, this is also a prequel to Season 1 which was only 6 episodes so yeah the game is not long at all. I find the game enjoyable though, the complaints about breaking down and hunting for supplies, guess what they do that in the show to, and there is more to do in the game then the story mode, you have Herd mode which is pretty fun to, just hordes and hordes of zombies coming at you. Also if you read people complaining about how hard it is to kill the zombies in this game its because you have to do just like in the show and comics and go for head shots with guns and if your using knifes or machetes or axes you have to for the head, body shots will not do anything. To me this game is pretty fun, as it goes along with the show, and I didnt go into this game thinkin I was getting a COD clone with zombies based on a tv show like so many others have apparently.
