Rated 5 out of 5 by from Underrated masterpiece!!! I highly recommend this to any gamer. a fantastic open-world, takes place in Paris in the 1940's during World War II, great plot, cool Assassins Creed stile parkour , fun fist fighting and shooting action, and that's just some of it. I have no clue how this game went under the radar its fun and you never get bored. great game, especially for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun for the "realist gamer" if you like historical games and open world games, then this is perfect for you. This game is a lot like RDR in a lot of aspects. You can strictly do the story or you can have countless hours of fun just exploring the vast city of Paris. The only downside is the cartoon like graphics (which is more like Far Cry than RDR) and the highly fictitious story.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A new look into World War 2 in a great game. After seeing a few videos on the Saboteur and getting on the whole "WWII hook" again, I decided to pick it up for roughly $40 a few months after it was released. It was a very unique approach to WWII, taking some liberties with history, and having its silly/serious moments. You play as Sean Devlin, a foul-mouthed and street smart Irishman who is a racing mechanic. As the game progresses, you lose a race with a famous German racer who is a sadistic German officer with no regard for human life. Soon after losing the race to him, you plot your revenge, but things don't go quite as planned. You are then forced into the beginning of WWII with the Blitzkrieg upon France taking place, as Paris is occupied in little time. You become allies with the French Resistance and later British Intelligence, to destroy German radio towers, speakers, Zeppelins, and find the German officer and kill him once and for all. The Saboteur is a great game; it brings new life to the WWII genre in a way that other games have never done before, and has a very Mercenaries feel in the way it plays. There's multiple free play objectives that will occupy your time for a while, a very good plot that has its silly moments with the British Intelligence, but the ending is a very bitter-sweet closure to the game. The music on the vehicle radios and in the game aren't very vocal, with only 1-2 vocal songs being on the radio and the rest being limited instrumental songs, it still grasps you in the mood of the game and doesn't let you go. You get a variety of weapons from Dynamite, Panzershrecks, MP-40, Controlled Explosives, and of course, your weathered, bar-fighting Irish fists. You can choose many ways of approaching a mission; you can either go in guns-blazing, destroying everything in your path with sticks of dynamite and a machine gun, or go in quiet with a SS disguise and a silenced pistol. One of the very unique things of the game is that as you give hope and resistance in a section of Paris, the area goes from black-and-white to being vibrant with color. This is truly one of the great WWII and sandbox games, and deserves more praise than other "war games".
