The Lord of the Rings War in the North
Like an uncomplicated Diablo....
I was looking for a multiplayer game (As my dad and I were hanging out for the weekend gaming) and I had just finished Spyro:Dawn of the Dragon and wanted something more in-depth, rpg, and would satisfy my need for 'scavenging'. This game is like Skyrim, minus the fact that you can finish it and less freedom and that you can play with friends, honestly. Similar to Diablo in how you play and how it takes you through. I love how multiplayer is set up, you have your OWN screen and each party can do their own thing without being dragged behind by the other players' needs, etc. You can explore, everything on your own, trade with each other, and assist each other in collecting various items or armor sets. The secrets each player has to find throughout the game, awesome. Elf,Dunedain,Dwarf are the choices, and the elf is amazing to play, and while the dwarf has the most secrets (and sometimes his secrets helps the other players find theirs), he was our least favorite to play. I also felt they were skimpy on the amount of quests, but it is fun how more open up/you can do more once you get to Champoin level. Pick up all the armor/weapons you want, you will never run out of room as each has its own inventory, but the miscellaneous inventory constantly filled up, and I wish they'd made a separate one for potions. Other than low on quests and being a little unhelpful on "imbuing" gems information and what items are useless (I can't tell you how long I carried around sapphires and other useless rocks, just hoping) it was an AMAZING game, and I'm looking forward to buying the rest, and will happily spend the money.
Fun, not very buggy, good music score too.
This game is a LOT of fun. It actually has a little role-playing, not much, but a little. The music I thought was pretty good. The graphics are terrible though. This game is also pretty much only fun with friends. It's a good game, but it has poor lasting appeal if you have no one to play with. It's not very buggy either which is very hard to get with action, rpg games. The core fighting is nice, you are given plenty of skill choices and abilities. The combat isn't ever slow paced, very action packed etc. Keeps a guy on the end of his seat.
The game have a good feeling to it
The game have good soundtrack, good characters, but repedative combat. It feels like a rpg should feel.
