As Good As the Movie
The Godfather is a masterpiece. It really lives up to its expectations. The games graphics are better than those of the PS2. The gameplay is the same as the PS2, so no new changes to it. It's pretty much the same as PS2: great plot, great story mode, great action, great graphics. It really is worth the $15.

Decent
Being an older game, its not to bad. Graphics are a little shaky, but it was made in '06. A lot of the gameplay styles are carried over to The Godfather 2 (which I RECOMMEND). The controls are somewhat weird though. There is DLC for this game, from guns, to recruit-able mafia members, and challenges. Businesses on the game are extort-able, there are rackets to launder money from, and mafia's to take down. The has decent gameplay, if you like GTA, The Saboteur, you will most likely like this game, and love the second Godfather, also. I RECOMMEND THIS GAME. Even though the graphics might be "blah", the game has good play within it.

a great,action packed mafia game
i used to have this particular game on my original xbox, until i upgraded to the 360;awesome game, the graphics are ok but the gameplay is best.i also like how the creators made it like the movie, for example:almost all of the cutscenes and main parts are from the godfather(1972)!!!.overall excellent, but old.

"Our Thing"
While dated, The Godfather is a game that is fun to play. Originally released on the Playstation 2, I spent quality hours playing this game and enjoyed nearly every moment of it. Much of the missions tend to repeat themselves, like any "Sandbox World" games do, but it is a lot of fun to fight your way through a building held by a rival Mafia family to take it over and add it to your growing Mafia empire. Many of the original actors of The Godfather movies lent their voices and likenesses for the game, with the exception of Al Pacino who lent his likeness exclusively to the barely above mediocre Scarface: The World Is Yours game. If you're a fan of the movies like I am, you will really miss the likeness and voice of Al Pacino as Michael. If you have a Wii also and want to purchase a version of this game, I recommend getting the Wii 'Blackhand' version instead of the 360 - it has some pretty interesting controls and allows you to have a crew of wiseguys that help you out. If you don't have a Wii as well then you should pick this version up and give it a whirl. You won't be disappointed. Welcome to the Family.

this game absolutely baaalows
the other reviewers on here are way, way to easily pleased. the graphics are completely horrendous. the only character that even looks remotely real is the don. the rest of everything is not even on par with ps2. i really haven't played a worse game in years. i'm gonna do the world a favor and just burn it so nobody else has to suffer through this piece of garbage. this review probably won't be posted because it isn't praising the game or gamestop.
